Driving Slovakia: II-552 & I-79 Košice - Sátoraljaújhely - 4k scenic drive through east Slovakia
We decided to explore the beautiful but touristically mostly unknown region east of Košice, on our way from Berlin to Romania. Košice is an amazing city, having the biggest old town in all country. After visiting it, we travel on secondary roads through a beautiful region, a good mix of hills and plains, forests and wide-open areas, with some traditional villages on the way. Towards the end of the drive we reach the cultivation area of the famous Tokaji wine, with some cellars in the proximity of the road waiting to be visited. We finish the drive in the hungarian town of Sátoraljaújhely, situated immediately after the border. Enjoy!

Dnes som sa bol pozrieť v ZŤS Dubnici nad Váhom. V areáli fabriky sa nachádza celkovo 19 úkrytov s celkovou kapacitou 6500 ukrývaných, teda zabezpečujúcich ukrytie pre najpočetnejšiu zmenu zamestnancov a pre osoby prevzaté do starostlivosti. Ja som navštívil 2 - ŠTOB a Kinokryt. Úkryty sú v hroznom stave v jednom z nich zhorel bezdomovec. Bohužiaľ už sa o ne nikto nestará a takmer všetky sa časom zdemolujú alebo zasypú.

I continued my trip from Czech Republic, heading south to neighbouring country of Slovakia. Meanwhile, the plan was to take a rest in Slovakia's capital Bratislava and then head over to the next country.
Bratislava is beautiful, the architecture is wholesome, breathtaking and does not look like anything I've seen before I got there. Too sad that there was little time to explore, but I got some stock for my mini fridge and survival.

I regularly drive to and from Slovakia, so thought I'd have a bit of fun and create a hyperlapse video of my return journey in February of this year (2016).
After 7 months of procrastinating I finally got round to editing the footage, deciding on 30 frames per minute and sticking it on YouTube.
So please enjoy 21 hours of non-stop driving from Žilina, Slovakia to Basingstoke, England (via the Channel Tunnel) compressed into 21 minutes of mind numbingly boring hyperlapse video :)
P.S. The pixilation and artefacts you can see in the video are thanks to YouTube’s crappy compression algorithms which can’t handle rapidly changing complex images :(
