Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands. The city, also called Mokum in Amsterdam (originating from Yiddish) located in the province of North Holland, on the IJ, the North Sea Canal and the mouth of the Amstel. The municipality of Amsterdam is the largest municipality by population and has 871,873 inhabitants (1 July 2021 CBS). Greater Amsterdam has 1,394,998 inhabitants. The number of different nationalities in the municipality (in 2007: 177 nationalities) is one of the highest in the world.
Most locations in Amsterdam and the Netherlands reopening from Wednesday 26 January 2022 under certain conditions. In addition to shops, education, sports clubs, the practice of art and culture and contact professions such as hairdressers, the catering industry, cinemas, theatres, museums, concert halls, zoos and amusement parks also re-open their doors. In addition, sports competitions outside their own club are allowed again and the public is welcome at all sports competitions.
The number of infections is high, many people are in isolation or quarantine at home. The number of corona patients is expected to increase as a result of these relaxations. Nevertheless, the cabinet has decided that, despite the risks and uncertainties, this major step can be taken responsibly. Because living even longer with measures that limit our daily lives also damages our health and society.

At sports locations, the corona admission ticket applies from 18 years old.
On Tuesday 8 March 2022, the cabinet will decide again whether more is possible.

Almere grenst aan verschillende wateren zoals het Gooimeer, Ijmeer en Markermeer. De stad is behoorlijk groot ondanks dat deze nog niet heel lang bestaat, er wonen namelijk rond de 220.000 mensen in Almere. De eerste woningen werden pas opgeleverd in 1976. Dronten ist eine holländische Gemeinde am Veluwemeer und Ketelmeer im Osten von Flevoland. Dronten liegt 2 Meter unter dem Meeresspiegel. Der Campingplatz ist sehr ruhig und der Empfang war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir kamen erst an, als die Rezeption schon geschlossen hatte. Die Restaurantmitarbeiterin öffnete die Schranke für uns und gab uns eine Duschkarte. Der Check in erfolgte dann bein Check out ebenfalls sehr unkompliziert.

Small corrections:
- You apparently can't pay by credit card for your ticket(s) at the terminal. Only regular debit cards are accepted. So if you don't have that, be sure to buy your ticket online!
- It's not just rain water that is filtered through the area. A lot of river water is pumped into the area as well for filtering. This is actually the main source of water used for filtering.
- There are some bikes at the vistor center in the video. Those were for a private visit and usually aren't there. So the rule for no biking in the park still stands. ;)

Amazing Tulip Fields Netherlands 2020 | World's Largest Tulip Fields | Holland Tulips Video HD [4K]
The striking colors of the flowering tulip bulbs are a typical sight in Holland during the spring. The bright red, pink and yellow colors are overwhelmingly beautiful and are a must see, or should we say, a must experience! The Kop van Noord-Holland area is a perfect place to explore the real Holland. Starting from Amsterdam, this rural region full of tulip fields, windmills, and the coast and dunes is within easy travelling distance.
The region between Petten, Den Helder, Nieuwe Niedorp, and Wieringerwerf is unique. This piece of land wedged between the North Sea and the IJsselmeer boasts the world’s single biggest flower bulb field. At the same time, you will be surrounded by the coast in the Kop van Noord-Holland (the northernmost part of Noord-Holland). Visit one of the attractive seaside towns along the North Sea coast or have fun on one of the small beaches on the banks of IJsselmeer lake.
The Kop van Noord-Holland boasts the world’s biggest flower field. This area transforms into a huge sea of flowers from mid-March to mid-May. The flowers are at their most beautiful towards the end of April. With its fantastic cycling and hiking routes past endless flower fields, this extraordinary area is a great alternative if you want to get away from the crowds in the Keukenhof.
With more than 5,000 hectares of tulip fields, annual festivals and a host of unique activities to enjoy, Flevoland is one of the most spectacular regions in the Netherlands’ to explore the country’s amazing flower production.
In Flevoland, Holland’s youngest province and the largest land reclamation project in the world, millions of colourful blooms are springing up on land which was once the sea floor of the Zuiderzee. Throughout the area you will discover abundant nature. Walk or cycle through beautiful landscapes and along vast flower fields, an unforgettable experience.
One of the best ways to explore the region’s remarkable scenery and flower fields is by walking, cycling or driving along one of the routes which form the Tulip Route Flevoland every spring. All along these beautiful routes through the countryside around Dronten, Lelystad and Zeewolde, you will discover vast vistas filled with blooming flowers, charming farms and traditional Dutch landscapes. The routes range from around 10 to 70km. Along the way you can take a break at a designated stop to take part in a range of activities – including farm tours where you will learn how tulips grow, and even crafting your own bouquet in a flower-picking garden.
From April to early May you can visit the Tulip Festival in Noordoostpolder, which offers the chance to admire more than 2,000 varieties of the iconic flower in special gardens and shows. Further activities include carriage rides, pop-up eateries and children’s attractions.
Will you be visiting Holland in spring? Then be sure to visit Keukenhof, where you will experience the gorgeous views of blooming Dutch tulips and other flowers for which Holland is famous. Keukenhof is the most famous and largest flower park in the world and lies not far from Amsterdam.
7 million flower bulbs
Tulips from Holland are world famous. If you want to see the Dutch tulip fields in bloom, you should visit Holland in April and May. This is the same period in which the biggest flower park in the world, Keukenhof, opens its doors.
Keukenhof is a park where more than 7 million flower bulbs are planted every year. Gardens and four pavilions show a fantastic collection of: tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, irises, lilies and many other flowers. You will be overwhelmed by a spectacle of colors and perfumes.

Het Wisentbos, Dronten
Het Wisentbos is een dorpsbos gelegen aan de rand van het dorp Dronten. Oorspronkelijk is het bosgebied op de plantafel ontworpen door de Rijksdienst voor de Ijsselmeerpolders. In 1969 is het dorpsbos gerealiseerd. Na uitgifte van de gronden werd het beheer overgedragen aan Staatsbosbeheer. Het dorpsbos heeft in 2003 een grote facelift ondergaan. Met diverse participanten is invulling gegeven aan een dringende behoefte van de Drontenaren om meer accent te leggen op een recreatieve, natuurrijke omgeving. De Stichting het Wisentbos wil verder gaan op deze ingeslagen weg.
Flevoland - Visit Flevoland
Je moet maar durven, een hele provincie opbouwen uit het niets. Toch is Flevoland zo ontstaan: man made land, dik vier meter onder zeeniveau, beschermd door kilometers dijk. En Flevoland is nooit af. Dat komt door die twintigste-eeuwse grond onder de voeten. Dat doet iets met de mensen die hier wonen. Nergens is meer ruimte voor nieuwe ideeën dan hier. Want Flevolanders weten: the sky is the limit.
