It is also known to be the most peaceful city in Africa. This however does not come as a shock really, because Tanzanian people generally are known to be peaceful people and Tanzania as a country is one of the safest and the most peaceful countries not only in Africa but the entire world. Due to the safe environment and the general peace that has prevailed in Tanzania for many years, Dar es salaam has really developed and is outcompeting neighboring cities Like Nairobi and Addis Ababa. Under the current president of Tanzania, president Samia Suluhu, Dar es salaam has experienced rapid growth in Infrastructure.
