Diu is widely popular among tourist for it's beautiful beaches and historical monuments. Recently Diu become more popular because of tourism development and amazing shooting locations where few TV serials and Bollywood movies shooting happened.
Diu is also known as mini Goa but Diu has it's own beauty. It is falls under Union Territory named Diu and Daman. Before 1987, Diu Daman and Goa was one UT but Goa became state and Diu and Daman remained UT.

Diu is a beautiful island located nearby the coast of kathiyawad region at veraval port. Diu is more popular as a tourist place because of the natural beaches, Bold History, many other attractions and sightseeing.
Diu is island situated slightly off the coast of Kathiawad near the Port of Veraval in Gujarat with a coastal length of 21 kms. and is at a distance of about 768 kms. from Daman, the Capital of the newly formed Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Diu is bounded by Gir-Somnath and Amreli District of Gujarat in the North and by the Arabian Sea from three sides. It is connected to the mainland via two bridges. Its length from the extremes north and south, measures 4.6 kms and width from east to west measures 13.8 kms. The altitude is 6 meters above sea level. The topography is generally plain. The hillocks attain maximum height of 30 meter's.

Top 10 Places To Visit In Daman And Diu
Daman and Diu, a union territory in west India, consists of 2 separate areas divided by the Arabian Sea. The Daman Ganga River flows through the coastal town of Daman. Diu is a small island and mainland village. The Fort of Moti Daman, Diu Fort and 16th-century churches reflect the territory’s past as a Portuguese colony. In the town of Moti Daman, the Basilica of Bom Jesus Church is known for its gilt altarpiece. ***************************************************
Description:
1. Diu Fort : Fort Diu, is located on the west coast of India in Diu, a Union Territory, administered by the Government of India. The fort was built by the Portuguese during their colonial rule of the Diu island. The Diu town is located to the west of the fort.
2. Jampore Beach : Jampore beach is one significant attraction of Daman. Situated remotely 5 kilometres away from the Moti Daman Jetty, the beach gets fame because of its blackish mud-coloured water. It is soothing just to have glimpses of the sea and is a perfect place for the ones seeking longing peace and solitude. The beach is away from the hustle of the city and is, therefore, a great place to relax.
3. The Sao Jeronimo fort : Saint Jeronimo’s Fort is located on the north bank of the Damanganga River opposite the walls of Daman. It is an exemplary work of military architecture, and remains well preserved. The initiative to build a fortification in Nani Daman seems associated to the Mughal army’s invasion in 1611, in retaliation for the capture of a Mecca ship in Surat by Luís de Brito e Mello.
4. Naida Caves : The Naida caves are located on the periphery of the Diu fort. These caves have a big network of tunnels with square hewn steps.
5. Nagoa Beach : Nagao Beach is a town in Diu district, India, on the edge of the Junagadh district. The town's main industry is tourism, and it has 21 kilometres of coastline. The population is 14,000 but about 40,000 tourists enter the town during peak seasons
6. St. Paul's Church : The St. Paul’s Church, is situated on Diu Island, on the west coast of India, a Union Territory of India. Diu came under the control of Portuguese colonists in early 16th century.
7. Gangeshwar Temple : The Gangeshwar Temple is situated approximately 3 km from Diu in the old Fudam village. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features 5 Shivalingas that are believed to have been established by the Pandavas during their exile from the kingdom. These Shivalingas are situated amidst rocks that are washed by waves continuously.
8. Pani Kotha : Panikotha fort located in the sea, off the coast opposite to DiuFort, could be seen in the evenings. There are several cannons (some of them made of bronze appear well preserved) still seen at the top of the Diu fort. Also seen are collection of iron shells scattered around in the fort area.
9. Ghogla Beach : Ghoghla Beach is situated in the village of Ghoghla, which is around 15 km from the main town of Diu. This beach is a popular tourist spot that has necessary facilities like food and accommodation.
10. Jalandhar Beach : Jallandhar Beach, named after the demon Jallandhar, features a small memorial at a hill top along with a stone face structure of the demon. It is a sunny beach, which is around 1 km from Diu and houses a temple, dedicated to Goddess Chandrika.

Daman is one of the parts of union territory - Daman & Diu. Daman is less popular for tourist places but recently I visited this amazing place and realized that it is developing every day.
Daman is the capital city of the Indian union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. It is a municipal council situated in the Daman district of the union territory.
Daman Ganga River divides Daman into two parts - Nani-Daman (nani meaning small) and Moti-Daman (Moti meaning big). Despite its name, Nani-Daman is the larger of the two parts, while the old city is mainly in Moti-Daman. This holds most of the important entities like the major hospitals, supermarkets, and major residential areas. Vapi, Gujarat is the nearest city to Daman.

Top 10 Places to visit in Diu
In this video, I'll show you some of the most popular tourist attractions in Diu. From the beautiful beaches to the historic fort, there's something for everyone!
1.Naida Caves-A group of interlinked caves located outside the city wall of the Diu Fort. These caves were in a way constructed by the Portuguese since they were breaking a large rock formation for construction. Over the years, due to geological irregularities and natural processes over time, the caves got their shape. It is a network of tunnels with cleaved steps in between.
2.Nagoa Beach-Nagoa Beach is amongst the most famous attractions of Diu and also one of the tourist places in Diu; for its unsullied beauty, white sand and oscillating palms.It is an ideal place to rejuvenate oneself and get tourists from all over the world visiting.Due to its popularity, the beach has plenty of resorts nearby and some even on the beach, giving you a relaxed and comfortable experience. Many water activities are being offered that further add to the holiday escapade.
3.Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple-Situated 3 km from Diu, Gangeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has 5 Shivalingas that were supposedly laid by the Pandavas during their exile period. These Shivalingas are situated amidst rocks that are washed by waves continuously.
4.Diu Fort-The Fortress is a landmark in Diu and is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of Portuguese in the World’. The Portuguese built it in the year 1535 with an addition made in 1541 as a defensive fortification in Diu and is located on the west coast of India. It is this enormous sea-facing fort and has two moats, a lighthouse which is the highest point of the Island and a jetty that is still operational.The fort has cannonballs littered all around and has a low wall with few cannons.
5.Ghoghla Beach-The Beach is located north of Diu town in the Ghoghla Village. It is considered as one of the most captivating beaches, yet it is a more austere attraction perfect for people who like to spend time away from crowds. The azure water, in contrast to the golden skyline, is a treat for the eyes. While here, you can enjoy water-sport activities like parasailing, banana boat ride and surfing besides a few restaurants and shacks.
6.St.Paul Church-Situated in Diu, St. Paul’s Church is the largest and the only functioning church in Diu. Renowned all over the world for its stunning Jesuit architecture by Indian craftsmen, the church boasts of rich wood carvings, splendid facade, intriguing volutes and shell-like motifs.
7.Jalandhar Beach-This beach is located a kilometre away from the city, and yet it is a quiet and sparsely crowded beach in Diu. The beach was named after the mythological Hindu demon Jalandhar whose shrine is located on a hillock, close to the beach. A temple dedicated to goddess Chandrikais is also here.There are plenty of water-sports that are hosted as part of the attraction.
8.Diu Museum-St.Thomas Church is a modest white-walled building which is decaying. The church was built in 1598 and was later converted into a museum. The museum houses several stone inscriptions made by rulers, a collection of 16th-century wooden saints among other statues of saints and sculptures are on display. Furthermore, 400 year old wooden and marble statues of St. Thomas and St. Benedict is the vision to behold.
9.Sea Shell Museum-This unique and zany museum is located 6 km Diu on Nagoa road. It is one of the few shell museums in the world and the only shell museum of Asia; it is also one of the tourist places in Diu. The result of the efforts of Captain Devjibhai Vira Fulbaria, a merchant navy sailor who during his expeditions collected different shells, later decided to showcase this elegant collection.While you are visiting the museum, you will get toured by the main man himself explaining the different types of shells.
10.Chakratirth Beach-Chakratirth Beach is centrally located and is adjacent to Diu town. Its picturesque landscape of hills and the Arabian Sea, amidst which the Beach makes it one of the places to visit in Diu. It is a flawless beach with clear waters that are great for a swim or a surf, or to get a tan by basking in the sun. There also is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, well-kept gardens and the enchanting landscape which doubles as a prominent sunset point.
