Pannaikadu is a panchayat town in Dindigul district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Its a very good tourist place. There are so many places that are very popular over here like Moolaiyaru, Echo Rock, Murugan Temple, KaaliAmman temple and etc..
As of 2001 India census, Pannaikadu had a population of 9396. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Pannaikadu has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 67%. In Pannaikadu, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.The main occupation here is agriculture of crops like coffee and bananas.During British regime the last governor Sir Archibald Nye praised pannaikadu as a modern village in the madras state.Pannaikadu is the place of god Rama.The view of Panniakadu from Murugan Temple is extrodinary. kaaliamman temple is situated near a stream, the goddess is very powerful, the temple is a very beautiful picnic spot too. people from pannaikadu have migrated to places all around the World either for studies or for living. banana, coffee and avacoda are mainly cultivated.

மதுரையிலிருந்து 35 கி.மீ தொலைவில் உள்ள குருவித்துறை என்ற இடத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது வைகை அணைக்கட்டு.
மதுரை மாவட்டம் சோழவந்தான் அருகிலுள்ளது, குருவித்துறை என்ற திருத்தலம். இங்குள்ள சித்திர ரத வல்லப பெருமாள் கோவிலில், ஒரே சன்னிதியில் குரு பகவானும், சக்கரத்தாழ்வாரும் சுயம்பு மூர்த்திகளாக வீற்றிருந்து காட்சி தருகின்றனர்.
குரு பகவானுக்கு அருளிய பெருமாள், இங்கே எழுந்தருளியுள்ளார். இதனாலும் இது குரு தலமாக கருதப்படுகிறது. இங்கு வழிபட்டாலும் குருவால் கிடைக்கும் நன்மைகள் பல நம்மை வந்தடையும்.இக்கோவிலில் வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசி மற்றும் குரு பெயர்ச்சி மிகவும் விசேஷமாக நடைபெறும். மதுரை மாவட்டம் சோழவந்தான் அருகே குருவித்துறையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. குரு தன் மகனுக்காக வைகையில் துறை அமைத்து தவமிருந்ததால் இந்த இடத்திற்கு குருவித்துறை(குருவின்துறை) என்ற பெயர் ஏற்பட்டது.
The Pandiya kings constructed check dams across River Vaigai. King Maravarman Arikesari, also known as Koon Pandiyan, who ruled Madurai during Seventh century built a check dam across Vaigai and named it after himself. It is near the Kuruvikaran Salai road and archaeologists have found a stone inscription there. Likewise, King Parakrama Pandiyan constructed a check dam Sitranai in Kuruvithurai near Madurai. He also extracted granite from the nearby hill Kuruvikal and built a stone quarry. Stone inscriptions in Kuruvithurai Perumal Temple record this.
