इथे असलेल्या डोंगराला शंभू महादेवाचा डोंगर म्हणतात. या डोंगराच्या पायथ्याशी शिंगणापूर गाव आहे. हा डोंगर म्हणजे सह्याद्रीचाच एक फाटा असल्याने डोंगरावर दाट झाडी आहे. महादेवाचे मंदिर याच डोंगरावर आहे. मंदिरात जायला जवळपास 400 पायऱ्या चढून जावे लागते.
शिखर शिंगणापूरचा शंभू महादेव हा महाराष्ट्रातील अनेकांचे कुलदैवत आहे.
महादेवाचे हे मंदिर आणि शिंगणापूर गाव दोनीही यादव कुळातील सिंधण राजाने वसवली आहेत.
शंभू महादेव हे भोसले घराण्याचे कुलदैवत असल्याने भोसले घराण्याचे मूळपुरुष - मालोजीराजे भोसले हे आपल्या परिवारासह देवदर्शनासाठी येथे येत.
पाण्याच्या दुर्भिक्षेमुळे भाविकांचे होणारे हाल पाहून मालोजी राजांनी येथे इ.स. १६०० साली येथे एक मोठे तळे बांधले, त्यास पुष्करतीर्थ असे म्हणत; त्यालाच आता शिवतीर्थ म्हणतात. ते आपण जाताना पाहूच .....!
पूर्वीचे देऊळ पडल्यामुळे १७३५ मध्ये शाहू महाराजांनी सध्याचे देऊळ बांधले.
वीर सरदार बाजी गोळे यांच्या देखरेखीखाली बांधकाम पूर्णत्वास आले.
पुढे १९७८ मध्ये त्याचाही जीर्णोद्धार झाला. दक्षिणेतील रामस्वामी नावाच्या एका स्थापत्यतज्ज्ञाकडून शिखराची व मंदिराची डागडुजी करून त्यांना आकर्षक रंग देण्यात आला आहे.
शिखर शिंगणापूरची यात्रा चैत्र गुढी पाडव्यापासून ते चैत्र पोर्णिमेपर्यंत असते.

About Shani Shingnapur
Shani Shingnapur is a village in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Situated in Nevasa taluka in Ahmednagar district, the village is known for its popular temple of Shani, the Hindu god associated with the planet (graha) Saturn. Shingnapur is 35km from Ahmednagar city.
Shingnapur is also famous for the fact that no house in the village has doors, only door frames. Despite this, officially no theft was reported in the village although there were reports of theft in 2010 and 2011.
The temple is believed to be a jagrut devasthan (lit. alive temple), meaning that a deity still resides in the temple icon. Villagers believe that god Shani punishes anyone attempting theft. The deity here is Swayambhu (Sanskrit: self-evolved deity) that is self emerged from earth in form of black, imposing stone. Though no one knows the exact period, it is believed that the Swayambhu Shanaishwara statue was found by shepherds of the then local hamlet. It is believed to be in existence at least since the start of Kali yuga.

Hello guys, I think last Sunday..! I am visit in devlali camp, if you read my last post you know im visit to temple hill.
its really beautiful place. there is also one place famous for not beauty but yes for haunted. The morgue of devlali camp
this morgue is situated in near of the temple hill.if you dont know temple hill? just read my last post.
There are many hospitals in the area. this area is officially used for military tanning and military camps. thats why this place is
called Devalali CAMP.I Dont have any information about this morgue for when morgue was made.when i go there for shoot i can not give permission
by army officers, shoot the area in inside of morgue. and when i ask about there locals for morgues information they didn't say anything.
I visit there place because just reading on internet that this place is most haunted in Nashik.Morgues are is already a horrible thing for most people because credit goes to some Horror movies. and this morgue
isn't feel me make horror place. but yes its little bit scary because this morgue is on some woods like jungle and some trees
are really makes creepy voices of birds i heard when i shoot there.i am sure in the night they looks really horrable.when i look this morgue for first time my mind goes on flashback and saw me evil dead house.
I am read on internet source that people says they many time heard a voice of women yelling in pain.and some paranormal
Activities always seen by people.On night this morgue is really feels a haunted...because of this one looks really scary in Dim light and its between tress.
there are many locals say that they heard many times screechy voice that you couldn't want to heard.
