Northern Beaches Sydney including Manly, Avalon, Dee Why, Mona Vale and more using 4K Drone

The Northern Beaches of Sydney contains 18 beautiful ocean beaches, including Manly beach, Avalon, Dee Why, Mona Vale and more. It is a spectacular peninsula located 10km north of the Sydney and includes many scenic locations including the Barrenjoey Lighthouse, Pittwater and Ku-ring-gai Case National Park.

The film features a number of locations and activities, which have been summarised below (from North to South – not in order of appearance in the film):

BARRENJOEY HEADLAND is at the northern most point of the Northern Beaches is located in the suburb of Palm Beach. With an easy hike up to the historic Barrenjoey lighthouse and you will be rewarded with incredible views of the Central Coast, Pittwater and the Northern Beaches. Barrenjoey is located in the suburb of Palm Beach, also known as “Summer Bay” to the many fans of the famous TV show “Home And Away”.

KU-RING-GAI CHASE NATIONAL PARK is located in a beautiful coastal setting and full of gorgeous hikes, epic lookouts, stunning waterfalls. Bush walking is very popular in the park, with simple walks like “America Bay” to more advanced walks such as the “Jerusalem Bay Track”.

PITTWATER is a large waterway which borders Ku-ring-gai Chase Nation Park and it is a boaties paradise. With lot of large marinas and pubic moorings and no major shipping traffic, the Pittwater is very popular for fishing, sailing and power boating.

AVALON is a very popular sea-change destination for Sydney-siders who enjoy the surfer lifestyle. It has quaint little cafes and a cute little shopping village. For the surfers, North Avalon Beach is one of the best surfing breaks on the Northern Beaches.

MONA VALE beach is actually two beaches, separated by a rocky outcropping upon which sits the famous Mona Vale ocean pool. There are some incredible photos of this pool which often gets waves flowing into it during high tide.

LONG REEF is both a headland and a beach. Long Reef Headland, also known as Long Reef Point has a scenic lookout and is the start of an easy hike to Dee Why beach. The headland is also a premier location for Sydney kite surfers and paragliders who take advantage of the strong afternoon breeze and sea cliffs. Long Reef Beach is a great surfing beach with easy parking.

DEE WHY is a more densely populated suburb and features a large number of local shops and restaurants at the southern end of Dee Why beach. Dee Why beach has powerful waves popular with local surfers and Dee Why point is a beauty when the surf is up. The film features some surf boat rowers practicing in the waves on Dee Why beach.

FRESHWATER is a small protected beach very popular with families and young children. Parking is easy, the beach is patrolled by surf life savers and there are several cafes nearby which overlook the beach.

SPIT BRIDGE AND CLONTARF are inland suburbs at the southern end of the Northern Beaches. Clontarf beach is a great harbour beach and kids park which is very popular with families and perfectly suited for small children and toddlers.

MANLY is the “jewel in the crown” of the northern beaches and a must-see location. Easily accessible from the Sydney CBD via the Manly Ferry, it is very popular with tourists and the most lively of all the northern beaches. Manly highlights include Manly Wharf for drinks, Manly Beach for surfing and volleyball, Cabbage Tree Bay for world-class snorkeling, North Head National Park for lookouts and whale watching, Quarantine Station for some history and Sydney Harbour for sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

The cinematic aerial footage was filmed with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone (plus other/unknown drones) by various drone pilots. Colour graded using The Film Poets - SkyGrades Collections LUTs.

BEST BEACHES IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA | NORTHERN BEACHES

We have lived in Sydney for 6 years, in this time we have done a lot of exploring and been to the best beaches around. We love Australia, especially the Northern Beaches because here you will find some secluded gems, pristine nature and a lot of lush coast line.

We think these are the best beaches in Sydney Australia because they are not crowded as some of the more popular beaches, like Manly and Bondi. Here are our best beaches.

Bayview

Tucked away more towards the northern end of the coastline, this reserve offers great walks along several bays, it is a great spot to learn to paddle board and take the kayak out due to its calm waters. We love to take our pooch here for a good swim and a play with other puppies.

Long Reef

Long Reef is accessible from Dee Why beach, there is a great walk you can do from Dee Why along the Dee Why lagoon. Long Reef is a top spot for a surf, no matter your experience level. The headland walks host many great lookouts and an abundance of nature. Watching the sun set from here is a MUST. Long Reef for this reason alone is one of our best beaches in Sydney.

Curl Curl

Curly is a popular beach for surfers as it hosts some of Sydney's best waves. You can enjoy a coastal walk at either end of the beach and take in some breath taking views. There is a swimming pool to do some lengths and at the northern end a lagoon where the dogs and kids can play safely.

Turimetta

Known as Sydney's secret beach, hosting no more than a dozen people on a average day. Take a walk up the southern headland to reach a lookout where you can enjoy stunning ocean views and tree covered cliffs. This is our favourite spot to come and enjoy the sunrise, you will leave feeling recharged and will go down in the memory bank as one not to forget. p.s don't forget to explore the rock pools!!!!

Thanks for watching guys, LET US KNOW WHICH BEACHES YOU LOVE :)

Travel in Australia । Top 10 Australian Tourist Destinations

10. Cable Beach, Broome
Cable Beach is located in Broome in Western Australia and is considered by some to be this state’s most popular destination. It is a stunning beach, known for its white sands, beautiful sunsets and the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Cable Beach is also famous for its camel rides on the beach. Those who prefer motorized transportation can choose to cross the sands in a four-wheel-drive vehicle instead.

9. Fraser Island
This beautiful island, which is located in Queensland, boasts rainforests, sand dunes, more than 100 freshwater lakes and pretty colored sand cliffs. Fraser Island, which is just a short ferry trip from Hervey Bay, is also considered to be the largest sand island in the world. This island boasts another unusual claim to fame — its dingoes are considered to be some of the most pure in all of Australia, as they have not had as many chances to crossbreed with dogs as their mainland cousins have had.

8. Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road, which is located in Victoria, is considered to be one of the most beautiful drives in Australia. This 243 km (151 mile) drive starts in Torquay, which is located about 100 km (60 miles) from Melbourne, and ends in Allansford. As it travels along Victoria’s beautiful southwest coastline, the Great Ocean Road passes by some of the most stunning scenery in Australia, including The Twelve Apostles, which are pretty limestone stack formations that rise out of the ocean near Port Campbell National Park.

7. Purnululu National Park
Located in Western Australia, Purnululu National Park is home to one of Australia’s most unique tourist attractions known as the Bungle Bungle Range — striking orange-and-black-striped sandstone domes that resemble huge beehives. Surprisingly, the site was known only to local Aboriginal Australians and farmers until recently. In fact, it only became famous after a documentary was made of the area in 1983.

6. Blue Mountains National Park
The Blue Mountains National Park is located in New South Wales, approximately 80 km (50 miles) west of Sydney. Its proximity to the biggest city in Australia has made this scenic park a popular day trip for both tourists and locals alike. The park is probably best known for the Three Sisters, a rock formation that towers 900 meter (3000 foot) above the Jamison Valley.

5. Whitsunday Islands
This stunning collection of 74 islands lies in the middle of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, making them a perfect jumping off spot for travelers looking to explore the amazing and colorful marine life that live in the waters of this area. Although most of the Whitsunday Islands are deserted, seven do have outstanding resorts on them, including the world-famous One&Only on Hayman Island, a favorite of celebrities and the rich and famous.

4. Kakadu National Park
Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, about three hours north of Darwin, Kakadu is the country’s largest national park. There is a lot to see in Kakadu National Park, including a large concentration of Aboriginal rock art; some of which are estimated to be up to 20,000 years old. This park is also home to many different species of wildlife, including wallabies, dingoes and crocodiles. In addition, Kakadu National Park, which is home to one-third of Australia’s bird species, is a birdwatcher’s dream.

3. Uluru/Ayers Rock
One of the world’s largest monoliths, Ayers Rock is also one of the top tourist attractions in Australia. Located within the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park of the Northern Territory, this large sandstone formation stands more than 340 meters (1,100 feet) high. One of the rock’s peculiarities is that it changes colors dramatically at sunset from terra cotta to blue, violet and red. The local Aboriginal tribe, known as Anangu, call the rock Uluru and regard it as a sacred site.

2. Great Barrier Reef
One of the top destinations for underwater explorers and scuba divers is the world’s largest barrier reef system, famously known as the Great Barrier Reef. Located in the Coral Sea, the Great Barrier Reef encompasses a huge area of more than 2,900 coral reefs and hundreds of islands and cays. The best way to explore the Reef is by one of the numerous boat cruises that run along the northern coast of Queensland. The town of Cairns is regarded as the main gateway to the Reef, but other towns also offer cruise operations.

1. Sydney Opera House
Regarded as a 20th century architectural masterpiece, the Sydney Opera House was designed and built by architect, Jørn Utzon, to reflect the image of a huge sailing ship. It houses multiple venues that together host more than 1,500 performances each year. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Sydney Harbour and the Royal Botanic Gardens, the famous Opera House in Sydney is one of Australia’s most famous landmarks.
