When I arrived it was around 5 degrees, very similar to the Scottish temperature.

Due to only having a short time in Kaunas, I tried to fit everything into one video.
Kaunas has so much more to see, so I will be back there one day and spend more than a few hours there.

Exploring Rumšiškės / Kaunas Lithuania
We spent 2 nights in Kaunas exploring shopping malls and antique village homes in Rumšiškės, Kaunas County. (July 2020)

There are two major shopping malls in Kaunas, Lithuania, namely Mega and Akropolis. Mega has a huge aquarium, the largest and tallest in the baltic States. Professional divers and marine biologists are in charge of feeding the fish and sharks in the aquarium tank.

Rumšiškės - Lithuanian Folk Museum
The Open-Air Museum of Lithuania is one of the largest ethnographic open-air museums in Europe with an area of 195 ha. The exhibitions at the open-air museum represents the main ethnographic regions of Lithuania, i.e. Dzūkija (Dainava), Aukštaitija (Highlands), Suvalkija (Sudovia), Žemaitija (Samogitia) and Lithuania Minor, as they looked at the end of the 18th century and the first half of the 20th century. The houses representing each of the regions stand in their natural environment and have the interior and exterior of the respective period.

Население Каунаса насчитывает порядка 400 тысяч человек и на 93% состоит из литовцев, вполне возможно, что именно этим объясняется невероятная доброжелательность и открытость местных жителей.
Kaunas was founded back in 1280 at the confluence of two rivers Neris and Nemunas (in our opinion, the Neman). In 1920–1940 he even managed to visit the capital of Lithuania, which undoubtedly had a positive impact on the development of the city.
Today it is the second largest and most important city in Lithuania, as well as the cultural and industrial center of the country, located 100 km northwest of Vilnius.
The population of Kaunas is about 400 thousand people and 93% consists of Lithuanians, it is quite possible that this explains the incredible benevolence and openness of local residents.
