Szlak czerwony Czerwonak k. Poznania - Jezioro Płotki k. Piły | feat. Christine Thürmer
PL: 165-kilometrowy szlak czerwony z Czerwonaku do Jeziora Płotki w północnej części Wielkopolski to mój 16-ty polski szlak powyżej 100 km. Tym razem wędrówka odbyła się w doborowym towarzystwie mojego kolegi Michała i sławnej niemieckiej hikerki długodystansowej Christine Thürmer, która dołączyła na pierwszą część szlaku, wchodzącego w skład jej tegorocznego długiego dystansu przez Polskę (Zgorzelec - Ogrodniki), Litwę, Łotwę, Estonię i Finlandię. Ta trasa to druga część jeszcze dłuższego projektu - w zeszłym roku Christine zaczęła w Zgorzelcu i skończyła na południu Włoch. W sumie ma w nogach 53 000 km, w tym Potrójną Koronę, którą zdobyła jako pierwsza osoba z Niemiec.
Szlak Czerwonak - Płotki okazał się absolutnie fenomenalny i bardzo gorąco Wam go polecamy. Mnóstwo lasu, piękne jeziora i bardzo, bardzo mało asfaltu.

ENG: 165-km trail from Czerwonak to Lake Płotki in northern Greater Poland was my 16th polish trail over 100 km. This time I had great company: my friend Michał and famous german long distance hiker Christine Thürmer, who joined us for the half of the trail, being on her route across Poland (Görlitz - Ogrodniki) and later Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland. This hike is a part of even longer project of crossing Europe from south to north. Last year Christine hiked from Görlitz to southern Italy. She's hiked 53 000 km so far, including the Triple Crown of Hiking, which she got as the first German.
The red trail from Czerwonak to Lake Płotki turned out to be phenomenal and we highly recomend hiking it. Lots of forests, beautiful lakes and very little pavement.

Kujawskie drewniane kościoły i starożytne megality ????????
„W Polskę jedziemy”, to realizowany od pewnego czasu nowy projekt „Travelfana w podróży”.
Dziś film inaugurujący cykl, aprobujący to co nasze, polskie. Nie można bowiem, chwalić cudzie, nie znając swego. Program nieco archiwalny, gdyż zmontowany 2 sezony temu.
Początkowo kręciliśmy tylko dla siebie, ale po projekcji Lovendy Kujawskiej oraz Lichenia, uznaliśmy, że warto by zaprezentować szerszemu gronu nasze spojrzenie na piękno naszego kraju.
Zwykle skupiony na zagranicznych wyjazdach, zaniedbywałem to co bliskie i dostępne w zasięgu ręki. Okazując skruchę, posypuję zatem głowę popiołem, prezentując Wam niniejszą opowieść o drewnianych wiejskich kościółkach, miejscu średniowiecznej bitwy, oraz zaskakujących ogromem kujawskich megalitach, które wiekiem przewyższają egipskie piramidy.
Gdyby nie wmuszana wtedy w powszechną świadomość covidioza, pewnie temat byłby przekładany w nieskończoność. Pragnąc wolności, wyrwaliśmy się spod szpon Sił Zła. Nadrabiając zaległości w poznawaniu piękna naszego kraju, nie chcieliśmy już dłużej chwalić cudzego, gdy niewiele wie się o swoim.
Pomysł był prosty… aby było blisko… maksymalnie 1-2 godziny jazdy samochodem od domu. To mniej więcej tyle, aby dotrzeć do najdalszych krańców województwa.
Przejazd miał być zatem w miarę krótki, na który to nie przeznaczałoby się zbyt wiele czasu, aby w miarę szybko dosięgnąć planowanych ujrzenia atrakcji.
Założyliśmy sobie, że na pierwszy ogień pójdą miejsca warte własnego przypomnienia, bądź te całkiem przez nas nie znane.
Wybór w większości padł na drewniane kościoły, miejsca związane z polskim orężem oraz… megality, o których to istnieniu na Kujawach (tych drugich) dowiedziałem się całkiem niedawno.

We start our walk at the intersection of Roosevelta, Libelta, Pułaskiego and Poznańska Streets. Above us, there are two viaducts, one railway and one tramway. We head south, pass the Teatralny Bridge and reach Rondo Kaponiera. Take the underpass to the other side of the roundabout and exit at the Bałtyk office building, next to the Concordia building. Next, along Roosevelt Street, we pass Bukowska Street, the International Poznań Fair, and come to the Dworcowy Bridge and Głogowska Street. From the bridge we go to the Avenida shopping center and the Main Railway Station. From the Main Railway Station we go to the Western Railway Station where we end our walk today.

For sure, I thought that there will be similarities with other Baltic countries, but the more I explored the city, the more I was surprised.

The Old Town is one of the most famous and must visit tourist attractions here. This place was carefully reconstructed after being flattened in World War II and has many similarities with other old towns in cities such as Amsterdam and Bruges to name a few. With brilliant red tile roofs of colorful houses and buildings, the Old Town from Gdansk is famous across Europe. This is probably one of the 3 old towns in Europe that I feel most excited about.
Hard to image that after the 2nd World War, only 37 buildings remained in the Old Town and almost 90% of all the houses and streets were destroyed by the Germans under Hitler. It took the Polish countrymen several decades to restore the old town and what we see today is a fine example of their perseverance, their national pride, their will and their efforts. I have huge respect for this country and it's people, I've been fortunate to meet many of them thanks to my work and also with travel! If possible, you should go to the old town in the morning. Around 8 AM, there are still quite a few people, but snapping photos on the street is much easier and more convenient than, let's say, late afternoon on a sunny day.
Unlike other major cities in Poland that are known for having the quintessential Market Square, Gdansk has a Long Market i.e. a long wide open pedestrian street which is lined with shops, restaurants, and more!
Gdansk’s history is associated with amber because the city thrived on the export of this luxury item throughout Europe. And the Mariacka road is a clear example of that period of great prosperity in Gdansk. Along both sides of the street are many souvenir shops specializing in amber related items.
Gdansk is known as the amber capital of the Baltic Sea region as the majority of amber stones wash up along the beaches. The embankment and harbour area of Gdansk was one of my favourite spots in the city. No matter the time of the day, it always seemed bustling with people and energy. There is a fairly large shopping mall located right opposite the old town. So, be it shopping or a stroll, the spot got you covered!
For food, Gdansk offers a lot of variety, from Polish traditional cuisine to Asian cuisine or fast food. Spending equivalent to $5 and you already have a pretty good meal. Eating out in Gdansk is inexpensive and delicious. Part way down the riverside you’ll notice a large unusual looking building overhanging the waterfront. This was the largest crane in medieval Europe and was used to load and unload ships. It is said that the crane could lift items weighing up to 2000kg.
In the port area, the Artus Court building with the Neptune fountain is considered the second symbol of Gdansk. This famous tourist place is the most concrete proof of the port city’s heroic past. I was here both during and after renovation! The Neptune Fountain is one of the most recognizable symbols of Gdansk located in the heart of the Old Town.
Many tourists that visit Gdańsk spend their entire time in the Old Town area, visiting museums and learning all about the history but forget that Gdańsk has a nature cover, a lot of it!
Also, Gdansk has beautiful, clean beaches, thanks to the ecological efforts of recent years. Sopot probably is the most popular beach area of them all.

Większość informacji czerpałem ze strony kolejoweLK207, a fragment nagrania z dzwonem EDG-2001 dał mi @kolejowywariat5602 , za co serdecznie go dziękuję. W zestawieniu tym musiałem pominąć sygnał DEPK-08 z 3 przyczyn: nie miałem wystarczająco czasu, nie miałem żadnego nagrania z tego sygnału, i żaden przejazd wokół mnie takiego nie posiada.

Croatian Long Distance Trail Vlog EP09 Dalmatian Coast
Ostatni etap wędrówki w Dalmacji i finisz w Prevlace z Fastest Known Time na koncie - przejście zakończyłam 20 sierpnia 2021 po 64 dniach 8 godzinach i 34 minutach. Było to pierwsze kobiece przejście w historii szlaku i oczywiście pierwsze polskie. Namęczyłam się, ale satysfakcja była :-)

Szlak Wzgórz Szymbarskich | Pre PCT training hike
Szlak Wzgórz Szymbarskich przeszłam w tramach treningu przed przejściem Pacific Crest Trail w kwietniu 2019 roku. Szlak ma 127 km długości i znajduje się w województwie pomorskim, prowadzi z Sierakowic do Sopotu. Znakowany jest kolorem czarnym.
This is a hike that I did before my Pacific Crest Trail thruhike back in April 2019. It's a 127 km long trail called Szymbark Hills Trail and it's in northern Poland, close to the Baltic Sea and the city of Gdansk.
Szlak Kopernikowski
Wędrówka Szlakiem Kopernikowskim na Warmii i Powiślu. Szlak ma 390 km, prowadzi z Olsztyna do Grudziądza przez miejsca związane z Mikołajem Kopernikiem, ale też jest na nim mnóstwo śladów plemienia Prusów i zamków krzyżackich. Spora ilość asfaltu i bardzo kiepskie oznakowanie w środkowej części szlaku mogą zniechęcać, ale jednak warto. Szlak Kopernikowski to najdłuższy nizinny szlak Polski i czwarty co do długości szlak w naszym kraju w ogóle.
