By the end of the century, it was an important center for seafood processing and the oyster industry. Today, Apalachicola is a popular destination for travelers who come to enjoy the town’s historic architecture, unique culture, and beautiful natural scenery. This is a place I fell in love with my first trip here more than a decade ago. And you will too once you experience it. This Crestview, Florida hotel is also convenient to Eglin Air Force Base and Duke Field, as well as Florida beaches, which are also nearby.

On a rainy Saturday, we decided to try somewhere new and we may have just found the best country diner in Florida. It's North 85 Diner (off of Hwy. 85) in Auburn, Florida. For reference it's near Crestview, Svea, and Laurel Hill.
The service was great. Food was delicious. It's a must-visit if you love a good country diner experience.

With so many stories of the former Jameson Inn. had to see for myself. With any hotel, bad things happened here.
K2 hits, wild anomalies, and some places you can feel the energy. Met the Staff and owner. Good People and met the Owner who was very nice as I stepped off the elevator with my camera rig at midnight LOL. The hotel is very clean and staff is polite. The Pool was clean. I did come there to hunt, but had to relax a little.
Enjoy, as with any hotel, be respectful of property and other guests. Some people may not want to be filmed.
Crestview, Florida Bypass - 02.22.23 Update
The Crestview Bypass continues to make progress. From paving the roadway on Phase V, the north-south portion, to the naming of the East-West Connector as Fallen Heroes Way, and continuing structural progress on the bridge near the corner of Old Bethel Road and U.S. Highway 90, this project will be another tool for motorists to use to avoid congestion in the Crestview area.

SPOTTED in OKALOOSA: Okaloosa County is lucky to have a diverse amount of outdoor recreational opportunities that includes hiking on the Florida National Scenic Trail. The Florida Trail meanders 1,500 miles through Florida and a portion of it goes through our very own Eglin reservation. The trail is maintained by volunteers with the Choctawhatchee Chapter of the Florida Trail. Permits for hiking and camping can be obtained from Eglin’s Jackson Guard. A trail head in Okaloosa County is on the east side of State Road 85 just south of the Shoal River. Learn more:
