Montana Living - Moving to Montana - Bigfork and Creston City Guides Recreation, Taxes, Schools, &

Are you wondering if Montana living is right for you? Join along in my Flathead County - Northwestern Montana moving guide as we continue with the towns of Bigfork and Creston.

Bigfork is a small community of just over 4,000 residents located along the North shore of Flathead lake just 20 miles south of Kalispell Montana. This quaint community is unincorporated meaning it has no ability to raise taxes and relies heavily on donations from residents, businesses, and community organizations. This unique feature gives Bigfork a charm all it’s own. It is one of my favorite locations in Flathead County.

This is part of my Montana Life, Moving to Montana Guide. For more information continue watching the moving to Montana playlist or visit my blog post here.

The 10 Cheapest Places to Rent in America.
When thinking about the cities with the cheapest rent in America, you probably aren't thinking about New York. In fact, former mayoral candidate Jimmy McMillan once famously declared, “The rent is too damn high. But head away from the big cities and you'll find plenty of cheap places to rent.
So just where are these places with the cheapest rent in America? As expected, the cheapest cities for renters are away from the coasts and metropolises, in suburbs and tucked-away cities and mostly concentrated in Southern states.
These budget-friendly burbs are home to America's most affordable apartments. And out of nearly 1,350 cities in the nation with 50 or more rental units, only these ten cheap places to rent offer an average one-bedroom unit under $570.
Here are the 10 cheapest places to rent in America.

Walking Tour of Crestone, Colorado (so much to see! And the art gallery we never found)

Did you find this helpful?

On our second day visiting Crestone, Colorado we decided to drive into town to explore the shops. For breakfast and coffee we stopped at one of our favorite places: The Elephant Cloud Market. Anna spotted some artwork there that she liked, and after some further internet searching learned that the artist had more of their work at a local gallery. After breakfast we set off to window shop and find said gallery. Later on during our town walk, we meandered into the Crestone Creative Trade Co to look at crystals. Of course, we stumbled into some wildlife and had to film. We concluded our walking tour of Crestone, with a late lunch at the Mystic Rose Cafe. We spent the rest of our day at our cute mountain Airbnb where we photographed and filmed the alpenglow on the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We didn’t give you a tour of any Stupas or Temples because of COVID restrictions – next time we visit, if the restrictions change, we will give you a tour (and maybe even one of the Sand Dunes!).

Vlog 40: Walking Tour of #Crestone, Colorado (so much to see! And the art gallery we never found)

----------------------

We’re Anna D and Adam, vloggers living in Colorado. After the pandemic shut everything down in March of 2020, we decided to make more time to explore our own state in part for our own mental wellbeing and in part because we’d been living here over 5 years and had barely hiked more than 10 different trails. We married on Valentine’s Day 2010 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. #Travel has always been something that we both love and have done quite a bit of in the 16 years we’ve been together. So why not combine our passion of video making and photography to share with you our adventures? We’re on a quest to find some of the coolest spots in #Colorado (and beyond!). Where should we visit next?
