We went to Costa Rica for three weeks. This is the ultimate Costa Rica travel guide. In those three weeks we went all across Costa Rica from inland cloud forests to Pacific Ocean beaches across Costa Rica to the Caribbean side. La Fortuna, Costa Rica Budget Travel Vlog | Arenal Volcano, Rio Celeste, Hot Springs
La Fortuna offers so much variety when it comes to things to do and see in Costa Rica! We spent four days in La Fortuna and enjoyed every minute of it, especially because everything was so affordable! The local food was so flavorful and being immersed in such lush nature was absolutely breath-taking. If you're lucky, you might catch a view of the Arenal Volcano when it's not hiding behind the clouds. We were able to see the sunset over the volcano and it was a sight like no other! La Fortuna is amazing overall. Don't get us started on the waterfalls and the sky blue waters - watch for yourself! The Hertz/Firefly Car Rental in San Jose Costa Rica provided the WORST customer service we have ever experienced from a car rental place (They gave away the automatic car we reserved, only gave us an option to drive a manual car which we were unable to do, and even if we were able to drive manual they increased the daily rental price 10-fold).
We recommend you look elsewhere for a car rental ( or check out our truly AMAZING Uber driver and friend named ALEJANDRO who drove us all over Costa Rica.

Hotel Rio Perlas Resort and Spa - Orosi, Cartago, Costa Rica
I was invited to stay two nights in a wood cabin at the Hotel Rio Perlas Resort and Spa near Cartago, Costa Rica. It's about 1.5 hours from San Jose, close enough for a weekend trip for locals, but far enough from the city to know you're out in nature.
The grounds are pretty amazing, there's several different types of rooms to choose from. We picked the wood cabin at the top of the property, a little hike from reception, but well worth the seclusion. All we could hear was the rushing water from the waterfalls and stream and the sounds of the rain forest.
There's a pool, spa, two restaurants, a bar, and miles of hiking trails. Just a short walk from our cabin we started on a one mile round trip hike following the river upstream. Unfortunately we didn't see any animals, but it was a nice hike in the rain forest.
It was a very relaxing time here, so nice to be out in nature and just hike, nap, and unwind. If you're looking for a quiet trip not too far from San Jose, come check it out!

ABIDJAN, COTE D’IVOIRE - Welcome to the beautiful country of Côte d’Ivoire (also known as Ivory Coast), in the heart of West Africa. Abidjan is the biggest city, and home to some incredibly tasty street bbq - including a unique vertical bbq and some of Africa’s fastest BBQ! Today we’re going on a full Ivorian street food tour!
A huge thank you to my friend Mo Soumahoro from Belle Côte d’Ivoire ( for arranging my trip and setting up everything!
1. Breakfast - we started early in the morning and headed for a rare dish of steamed corn with thick sour milk porridge. It was unique and very hearty in the morning.
2. Plakali - One of the most beloved Ivorian foods is plakali, a thick stew of crabs and seafood with cow skin and okra. It’s a dish with so many components and texture and absolutely incredible.
3. Fried snacks - When you’re in Côte d’Ivoire you don’t want to miss all the delicious fried snack you’ll find all over Abidjan. It was awesome to hang out with Yasmine Fofana (
4. Pique chicken and fish and Ivorian choukouya - From this entire Abidjan street food tour, probably my favorite dish was the pique chicken and fish and the West African choukouya. The chicken and fish were skewered then marinated in spices and pepper then grilled in a sandbox - vertical bbq style. It kept the meat juicy and full of flavor. They also made delicious choukouya, where the chicken is first grilled, chopped, and mixed with onions and seasoning. It’s absolutely amazing.
5. Market + sandwich - Next up we continued on this West African street food tour at the market to see some local ingredients, and a tasty onion and egg sandwich.
6. Brochette and bread - Another classic Abidjan street food is grilled small skewers of meat stuffed into French bread with kankankan. It’s one of the fastest grilling techniques I’ve seen, and unbelievably tasty.
7, Grilled meat ending - Finally we had one more stop to eat more grilled meat, choukouya. Can’t get enough!

I Went on an ATV and Waterfall Tour | Things to do Costa Rica

This week we went to satisfy our urge to go chasing adrenaline AND some waterfalls - but this time it's a bit different, and something I have never done! DRAMATIC VOLCANO ABOVE CLOUDS IN COSTA RICA (IRAZU VOLCANO) 2021
I had recently come to San Jose in Costa Rica after traveling around in Mexico for the past year. I had also started my trip in the capital of the country, San Jose. Today we were about to go out for a daytrip to one of the most famous volcanoes in the country, Irazu Volcano. It's located more than 3000m above the sea level which is about 10000ft. The air was thin and it was hard to breath at certain points. This volcano is just one of many cool places I will be going to in Costa Rica. In the coming vidoes I will go to places like Montezuma, La Fortuna, Jaco, Manuel Antonio and many other waterfalls.

Kurt & Grettel share their first-hand experiences hiking on rainforest trails along pristine tropical beaches, kayaking coastal waterways, searching for nocturnal animals on night walks in the jungle, and a boat excursion crossing a whale migration route teaming with dolphins to Isla del Cano. Our adventures into the Osa are based from the luxury-rustic ecolodges of Lapa Rios & La Paloma, including visits to the remote Sirena Ranger Station in the heart of the national park where elusive puma and jaguar roam.
