History of Burano, Italy?
Burano is an island located in the Venetian Lagoon in northern Italy. It is known for its brightly colored buildings, lace-making, and fishing. The island's long history dates back to the 5th century when the Romans first settled it. During the Middle Ages, the island prospered as a fishing and trading port and was the seat of a powerful merchant family. In the 16th century, Burano was an essential center for producing lace, a craft that continues today. In the 19th century, the island was at the center of the struggle for Italian unification, and in the 20th century, the inhabitants of Burano fought for autonomy from the mainland. Despite its small size, the island's rich and vibrant history continues to shape its culture.

Per la 51° ediszione della Duerocche Scarpa Ultratrail di 51K è tornatro il passaggio in cima alla Rocca monumentale di Asolo. Un momento che, tra i lavori di restauri del monumento e la pandemia, mancava dal 2016. Per ragioni di sicurezza, sopra la Rocca, sarà obbligatorio camminare, pena la squalifica. Gli atleti avranno così a disposizione qualche istante in più per godersi il panorama che si ammira dal simbolo per antonomasia della città di Asolo.

Colli Asolani: San Giorgio a Coste di Maser
Lungo il sentiero delle Due Rocche, nei colli di Asolo, il colle di San Giorgio è il più panoramico belvedere sulla pianura veneta e sul monte Grappa.
Dorsale dei Colli Asolani, Treviso.
I colli asolani, e Asolo in particolare, definita al città dai Cento Orizzonti, si prestano particolarmente per facili passeggiate invernali. Specie quando la pianura è coperta da fredde nebbie su questi colli, ad attenderci, vi è un tiepido sole.
Il panorama, meraviglioso, è il principe di questi luoghi incantati.
Il colle di San Giorgio è frequentato dagli amanti del bird-watching per il passaggio di numerose specie di uccelli migratori.
Il capitello di San Giorgio si trova a metà percorso della traversata da Asolo (Rocca) alla Forcella Mostaccin e fino alla Rocca di Cornuda (Santuario Madonna della Rocca), da effettuare sia a piedi che con la mountain bike.
Il sentiero delle Due Rocche, partendo dal centro di Asolo dalla porta nord, sale la gradinata verso la Rocca, prosegue per la stradella di sinistra, continua lungamente sul versante nord dei vari risalti collinari (in alcuni casi raggiungibili con varianti) alternando stradine sterrate a tratti di sentiero umido.
Superata loc. Forcella, si passa dietro il Colle Argenta, si giunge nei pressi del Colle di San Giorgio, si prosegue per Collalto e forcella Mostaccin, quindi il sentiero natura Marocco e ancora mulattiera e discesa per raggiungere il Santuario della Madonna della Rocca a Cornuda.
La traversata è lunga oltre 10 km, ai quali bisogna aggiungere i raccordi e l'eventuale ritorno.
La camminata più breve e semplice, per il colle di San Giorgio, si effettua partendo da Coste di Maser, sia dalla chiesa che da più in alto, dal parcheggio della Baita degli Alpini.
Complessivamente dalla chiesa sono circa sette chilometri e 350 metri di dislivello, con un tratto di strada asfaltata secondaria, accorciabili e senza asfaldo partendo dalla Baita degli Alpini.
Motivazioni:
Con questo video volevo far percepire l'emozione che si prova quando, all'improvviso, dopo aver camminato nella fitta boscaglia, si apre l'orizzonte sconfinato della pianura, con la sua luce accecante, e tutta la grande mole del monte Grappa.
Terra di forti contrasti, si alternano ville storiche prestigiose e famose a villette di arricchiti, moderne e spesso pacchiane. Capannoni e povere casupole operaie. Traffico caotico e silenzi affascinanti.
La lunga dorsale collinare degli Asolani è un labirinto di sentierini. Il versante sud è assolato e votato alla coltivazione della vigna, molto antropizzato. Il versante nord è umido, boscoso, quasi disabitato.
Stupiscono ancora le casupole abbandonate poste nei luoghi più disagiati. Un tempo ricche di vita laboriosa, di persone che tenevano i colli come fossero un giardino dell'Eden.
Ora di quel mondo ci resta qualche traccia e, approcciandola in silenzio meditativo, possiamo ancora percepire qualche voce, qualche rumore.
Sono luoghi dove il paesaggio è la prima opera d'arte e dove si è vissuta la storia.
Fin dai tempi preistorici e, naturalmente, nell'epopea medioevale.
Come musica ho elaborato e adattato un Valzer di F. Chopin, per lasciarci cullare e trasportare in questo mondo incantato e il suono della Campana di Mezzogiorno della chiesa di Coste di Maser, che inonda il paesaggio sconfinato.

Along the path of the Due Rocche, in the hills of Asolo, the hill of San Giorgio is the most panoramic viewpoint on the Venetian plain and on Mount Grappa.
The Asolo hills, and Asolo in particular, defined in the city by the Hundred Horizons, are particularly suitable for easy winter walks. Especially when the plain is covered by cold mists on these hills, there is a warm sun waiting for us.
San Giorgio is located halfway through the crossing from Asolo (Rocca) to the Forcella Mostaccin and up to the Rocca di Cornuda (Madonna della Rocca Sanctuary), to be done either on foot or by mountain bike.

Maser (TV) - Chiesetta di San Giorgio
Video monografico dalla Chiesetta di San Giorgio a Maser in provincia di Treviso. Il percorso da completare in un'oretta e mezza di cammino non presenta particolari difficoltà. Alla fine non appena si scorge la Chiesetta di San Giorgio si comincia a rimanere a bocca aperta per il panorama che presenta il posto. Assolutamente consigliato da percorrere, e soprattutto da visitare l'intero territorio comunale che presenta molti altri gioielli.
