???????? CONCORDIA, SINALOA, MEXICO - Welcome back to Sinaloa! In this 2021 Mexico Travel video, we head out of Mazatlán for an ideal day trip if you feel like some time away from the beach and noise of the Mazatlán nightlife to discover LUSH Mexico! One of the many things to do in Mazatlán!
Concordia is a small town reachable by local bus from Mazatlán Central bus terminal. It's a town with some interesting history around the manufacture of furniture as well a past involving destruction and more!
There's an awesome refreshing snack to try in Concordia - Raspados de leche quemada, basically caramel snow cone. It's gorgeous! In this video we also have some other Mexican street food, trying the popular Esquites (or elote - corn).
Concordia is especially great if you would like a quiet and easy day out if you're on vacation in Mazatlán.

MAZATLAN PORT DAY | SIERRA MADRE VILLAGE TOUR | CARNIVAL PANORAMA EXCURSION
This video we have our port day in Mazatlan Mexico. This excursion takes us for a tour of a couple villages nestled up in the Sierra Madre Mountains. Our 1st stop we get to check out this small town with a great bakery and authentic tile maker who was really creative with his designs.
Next we head to to the city of Concordia, Mexico. Here we got to explore the real town and enjoy the magnificent church Parroquia de San Sebastian, which was built in the late 1700’s.
The third stop had us at another small town of Copala, Mexico. Here we got to see an amazing village with cobblestone streets and old culture. We also were treated to a wonderful lunch of fajitas. After which we explored the old church in town called the Iglesia Copala, which itself is over 300 years old.
Plenty of great things to see on this tour, the only downfall is the amount of travel time between locations. We also got to ride a trolly though the containerships to head back to the Carnival Panorama.

During our stay in Mazatlan Mexico, we got together with another cruising couple and took the local bus system to a small town we had heard about. It was just a one day trip, but was a lot of fun.
Copala Colonial Tour, Mazatlan Mexico
Victor Urrea from Pronotours takes us to Copala, a Colonial Village near from Mazatlan. Learn how the bricks are made, and they can even make 800 bricks a day. Imagine a delicious smell of fresh bread with a visit to the famous local bakery where visitors can have a taste of it. Also amaze yourself watching the talent of people doing some wood craving and finally a tour to the Church St. Joseph built in 1765 wich has most of the memories of Copala.

Copála - This Town Was One Of The Region's Wealthiest Towns
Also located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre
Mountains are Copála. This town was one of the
region's wealthiest towns because its mines
produced massive amounts of gold and silver.
Copála is a lovely place with cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, a stunning mountain view, and a few active gold mines.
One of the mines is just five minutes from the center of this charming little village. Here, treasure hunters can see a small mine in action and take home a piece of ore, a stone that includes some gold.
There are many ruins of ore-milling sites, called haciendas de beneficio, along the Rio Pánuco near Copála. They used an overshot water wheel at Hacienda Guadalupe to crush the stone. This is the first step in the process to separate the gold.
Treasure Hunters find old buildings and properties in Copála and friendly owners who are willing to give permission to search them.
