Columbiana, Ohio
Columbiana is a city in Columbiana and Mahoning counties in the state of Ohio. The state of Ohio created Columbiana County on march 25th. 1803. Its a small city that is located in historical downtown. Columbiana offers so much more than this small city but they have a lot of history here and unique shops that have that one of a kind gift ideas for Christmas. While walking the streets every shop is decorated and you get a real sense of community pride. I really enjoyed my visit.

Hippley Gardens Columbiana Ohio
The Gardens at Hippley Village is a private garden located in the northern edge of the City of Columbiana, Ohio. The garden, located on a 3 acre parcel off of Stanton Avenue, features 8 gardens and 8 water features. The gardens have hosted weddings, wedding showers and receptions. The garden is operated and funded by The Hippley Foundation. A non-profit organization with status. Many visitors to the garden find it to be a worthwhile stop when visiting the quaint little town of Columbiana.
In 1999 the first garden was constructed. A train garden that features a miniature grist mill. Several varieties of crop sedums and other ground covers along with numerous species of miniature plants help to compliment the move than 25 miniature buildings in the “tiny village”.
After a 9-year hiatus, the garden began to expand in 2008 with the addition of a tiny stone potting shed imported from England. Since 2008, an additional 6 gardens have been added to the complex along with a small 20×48 indoor pavilion.

Lisbon is located in Columbiana County, Ohio. As the second oldest settlement in Ohio, Lisbon has a rich history that is still evident in the beautiful historic buildings through out the village. I have been to this area before some time ago, and was pleasantly surprised to see that some of the older buildings were restored. They look wonderful, I wish more small towns with these great buildings would embrace and restore them for future generations to enjoy. With the holidays right around the corner Lisbon down town has a beautiful display of lights for the holiday.
