Collie - Western Australia
Most of Perth's on grid power has been generated by the Muja power plant that is located near Collie. The area around Collie is W.A.'s most important coal production area. Unlike other coal towns overseas, Collie is most attractive. The surrounding area includes Wellington Dam and the Collie River winds it's way west towards Australind. Muja is the Aboriginal name for the Cabbage or Christmas Tree (Nuytsia floribunda.)

6km Hike in Wellington Weir. Following the Jabitj Trail along the Collie River. Great hike, variety of terrain and plenty of scenic views.

Ladies Only Road Trip | Perth to Collie, Wellington Dam, Track Time
There is just something about spending time with your Wind Sisters and this ladies only road trip from Perth to Collie was no exception. Spending 2 days riding and seeing some amazing places like Wellington Dam and taking a couple of controlled laps on the racetrack were unforgettable.
In truth, one of the things I have enjoyed most about my time here in Western Australia thus far has been these amazing, crazy, and empowered women of GLOW. If you are ever in this part of the world ladies, reach out and see if you can join in on a ride with us!

We check out a couple of the mountain bike tracks and have a look at Black Diamond Lake. One last Parkrun at Collie and a swim in the Collie Swimming Pool and that wraps up our time at Collie.
