Veracruz, an elongated Mexican state bordering the Gulf of Mexico, is home to numerous beaches as well as the country’s highest peak, Pico de Orizaba, a dormant volcano. The modern port city of Veracruz was founded by Hernán Cortés in 1519 as a base for Spain’s conquest of the Aztec Empire. Today the city is famous for its exuberant annual Carnival festival.
Veracruz is a coastal state in Central Mexico. It has a developing tourism sector, with many ruins, colonial historical sites, natural features ranging from a towering Pico Orizaba-the highest point in Mexico-to low-lying lagoons and bio-reserves, and fairly decent beaches.

Catemaco VERACRUZ Mexico is a very special place located on Laguna de Catemaco in Los Tuxtlas Biosphere Reserve.
Catemaco Veracruz is surrounded by the dense jungle surroundings and is also known for its traditions in witchcraft as many brujos live in Catemaco. The most popular thing to do in Catemaco is take a boat tour on Lake Catemaco to see all the sights on the lake so thats exactly what we did! After the boat tour we took a taxi to El Salto Eyipantla in San Andres Tuxtla. This waterfall is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth checking out when you are in Catemaco Veracruz.

La empresa norte americana CG Railway que ya ha estado operando la ruta de Mobile, Alabama a Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, con dos barcos con más de 20 años de operación, viendo el potencial del proyecto del Corredor Interoceánico del Istmo de Tehuantepec, y la modernización de los puertos de Coatzacoalcos y de Salina Cruz, decidió invertir más de 100 millones de dólares, en dos ferrobuques nuevos (Ferrobuque Mayan y su buque gemelo Ferrobuque Cherokee) cuya vida útil será por lo menos de 30 años, con lo que la cadena logística estará protegida y sustentada, lo cual se logra con el fortalecimiento del proyecto mexicano que se está desarrollando en el Istmo.
Los nuevos ferrobuques fueron construidos para disminuir el impacto medioambiental de la cadena de suministros, con mayor modernidad y nuevos avances tecnológicos, estos sustituirán al Ferrobuque Banda Sea y al Ferrobuque Bali Sea.

I've seen a lot of different roads on this trip but the one I lucked into takes the trophy so far for awesomness! Truly breathtaking. All the homemade road blocks just made it that mucho better. Maybe they were legit but I decided to run as many as I could anyways. It's nice to see the Gulf of Mexico again and have water on my left for a change.
