We joined the Laag-Laag Tour sa Misamis Occidental organized by the Province of Misamis Occidental in collaboration with the Tourism Promotions Board and the Department of Tourism Region 10.
As Misamis Occidental celebrates 93rd Anniversary, we were treated to the many attractions this beautiful province can offer to travellers.
On our first day, we were treated to a delicious lunch of seafoods and lechon in Parola in Tangub City, then we were driven to the foot of Mt. Malindang where we visited the Stone Chapel in Hoyohoy, then went further up to 1,000 meters above sea level to enjoy the magnificent view of the the mountain in Belvedere View Deck also in Hoyohoy.
We then proceeded to Cotta where we tasted the best lechon and balbacua in the Philippines. We even got to jam with the band, before proceeding to our hotel in Clarin.
Indeed, Misamis Occidental is opening its doors to travelers to experience its natural attractions, heritage structures, gastronomical delights and the warmth of its ever smiling people.

As part of my Life in the Philippines series, I visit The Clarin House of Suman (Suman House) Misamis Occidental in the province of Mindanao Philippines, a wonderful place to try the local delicacy of Suman.
Suman is a popular snack or dessert among the Filipinos, Suman is a long sticky rice cake wrapped in Banana leaves and in The Clarin House, they have the best 13 different Flavours of Suman to try along with a cup of Coffee or the locally made Hot Chocolate (Sikwate). Suman's house also sells a variety of pasalubong food delicacies and snack treats to offer or a present for your family and friend.
Bisaya (Visayan) people in Mindanao called Suman as ''budbud'', some of the village's lifestyle is enjoying serving Suman as a snack or dessert any time and on any special occasion.
I am enjoying this visit with my old Classmate Oyos Mendoza who is the producer of another local famous delicacy the Ube Cake from the Purple Yum in Ozamiz City.
