This is video we took from our recent trip to Ciudad Acuna in Mexico. It was one of 7 cities we visited in Mexico during a 2-week US-Mexico border trip. It was the only city we drove into; we walked into all the others. We really enjoyed our short visit to Acuna and hope you'll enjoy watching this short video of it! Ciudad Juárez is a very important cultural and business center , full of tourist attractions and entertainment. It is located on the border line, in the heart of the Chihuahua desert , considered the largest in North America.

It is the largest city in the state and one of the most dynamic in the country, with great industrial momentum. Juárez is a destination with all the attractions of modern cities: green areas, entertainment venues, museums and shopping malls.

Likewise, it has been the central scene of several crucial episodes in the country's past. It stands out for its historical corners related to the episode of the Mexican Revolution. Closing the offer with a flourish, Juárez has, a short distance away, the Samalayuca Dunes. An ideal place for lovers

DEL RIO, TEXAS, USA - CIUDAD ACUNA, MEXICO BORDER CROSSING

Unless you're a Mexican national living in Mexico and legally traveling into Texas border area or somebody with Mexican roots living in Texas who speaks Spanish and has relatives in Mexico, NO American, Canadian or Westerner for that matter should ever adventure into crossing the Mexico border. Feel free to ask IF you still don't know why it's strongly recommended to never travel to Mexico.
Moreover, if you're a proud American living in Texas and always legally carry firearms in your vehicle (strong supporter of 2nd Amendment and the God-given right to keep and bear arms), another reason to never drive your vehicle into Mexico.

Del Rio....coolest little border town in Texas!

#DelRioTexas #CiudadAcunaMexico #SanFelipeCreek

Season 1 / E 6

Del Rio.....one of the coolest little border towns in Texas. Just 15 min from the International Bridge Border Crossing into Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. What a friendly community with the beautiful San Felipe Creek running through this wonderful town. We had a great time in Del Rio enjoying the culture, food, creeks, and festivals. We stayed at the Hidden Valley RV Park, a small RV park with no amenities. However, it has a very peaceful and calming feel to it and the owner & workers were very nice. Del Rio is one town that will truly remain in our hearts.

Villa Acuña Today

Despite perceptions of border violence and post-9/11 passport regulations that have virtually eliminated U.S. tourism to the city, Acuña is surviving because of a robust and growing Maquiladora sector.

Come Visit Texas' Best Kept Secret: DEL RIO, TX

Explore Lake Amistad, Seminole Canyon, and the Devil's River... Only in Del Rio, Texas.

Swim in the pristine water of the third largest lake in Texas. Examine some of the oldest Native American cave paintings in North America. Savor a glass of cabernet sauvignon or Sangiovese at the oldest winery in the state. These experiences define Del Rio, Texas, an all-year vacation destination ideally suited for those who love to explore the great outdoors. Del Rio is located within a mile of the Rio Grande and the Mexican town of Ciudad Acuña, just 150 miles west of San Antonio. Like many other border towns, Del Rio enjoys a unique blend of American and Mexican culture, which is expressed in the friendliness of its people and its fascinating art.

The city of Del Rio can trace its history back to the 17th century, when Spanish colonists unsuccessfully attempted to settle the north and south side of the Rio Grande. It wasn’t until the mid-19th century that a permanent settlement was established, with its lifeline coming from San Felipe Creek. The creek provided ample water for farms, orchards, and vineyards due to its many springs. Today, these springs feed millions of gallons of water into the creek, creating Del Rio’s pristine swimming holes, including Blue Lake and Horseshoe Park, that sit on the eastern side of town. These swimming holes have long been popular with locals and visitors alike for their cool and clear waters that provide an idyllic refuge from the Southwest Texas summer heat.

Del Rio is just a few miles from the vast Amistad National Recreation Area, which includes Lake Amistad, home to some of the best bass fishing in Texas. Lake Amistad is a veritable playground for those who enjoy swimming, kayaking, boating, or even scuba diving. The rugged limestone canyons and arid plains that surround the lake provide a gorgeous backdrop and ample territory for hiking enthusiasts to explore. Farther west, you’ll come across Seminole Canyon State Park, where you’ll find the aforementioned cave paintings, along with plenty more territory to explore.

Back in town, browse art galleries full of uniquely Texan works during Del Rio’s Friday Art Walk, explore life on the frontier at the Whitehead Memorial Museum, or visit the Val Verde Winery, the oldest winery in Texas. #exploredelrio #delriotexas #bestplaceintexas

How to Cross the Border from US to Mexico in a Car | QUICK GUIDE

This is a How to QUICK GUIDE on crossing the border from the US to Mexico in a car with foreign (non Mexican) plates. When researching how to drive across the border I came across way too many videos on YouTube that were 10, 15, 20 minutes long and who has time to watch all that? So I decided to make a better one for those looking for good information, QUICKLY!

***Edit: I have heard mixed reports about completing the entire TIP process online. Some say it can be done and others have stated that it cannot. When I was researching the process myself the Banjercito website was often spotty or non functional. For me, I’d rather just visit the Banjercito in person. You will need to stop at the border crossing and get your FMM stamped either way and often the Banjercito and Immigration Office are in the same building. We are not claiming this is the ONLY way to complete the process, but do believe it is the easiest way with the highest rate of success.

Documents needed to cross the border:
1. Valid Driver's License
2. Passport
3. Multiple Immigration Form (FMM)
4. Temporary Import Permit (TIP)
5. Mexican Auto Insurance
6. Original and Copies of Vehicle Registration
7. Original and Copies of Vehicle Title

Wilson's Tips;
1. Make sure your vehicle registration is up to date and not expired. You can face fines and penalties up to vehicle confiscation.
2. Have both the originals and copies of all needed documentation printed out before you get to the border.
3. Don't leave the border without getting your FMM stamped first. There will be a checkpoint several miles down the road. If your FMM is not stamped you will have to return to the border.
4. Don't forget to stop at the border Banjercito and cancel your permit before you leave the country. This is the only way to get a refund for your deposit. You do not have to visit the same one as the border crossing you entered the country at.

U.S & Mexico Border Town - Del Rio, Texas ????????

I’ve been hearing so much about this immigration storm that has been plaguing the United States. I went to the border to check out the good O’l folks in Del Rio, Texas. Although this is a detour as my main trip is to see Marfa, Texas. What is a little detour going to harm? Not like a flash flood through inclement weather on flat land will be a problem…or will it? Join me as we drive to Del Rio, walk around as I share some Texas history and immigration issues Texans face.
