Sintra is located 30 kms to the west of Lisbon, in the center of Portugal. Home to ancient castles, extravagant palaces, and beautiful natural scenery, Sintra is an absolute must-visit. In this video we’ll show you how to visit Sintra as a day trip from Lisbon, including how to get there and the highlights that you can’t miss.
???? Getting to Sintra from Lisbon
The cheapest way to get to Sintra is by train. The train leaves from the Rossio Train Station in downtown Lisbon once or twice per hour. It takes about 45 mins to get to Sintra. We took the train at 9 AM, which allowed us enough time to visit the three main highlights. It is best to leave as early as possible, however, the castles only open their doors at 10 AM. Once you arrive at the train station, you will have many options to move around the town. You can either take a bus, a taxi, tuk tuk, or walk.
???? Stop 1: Quinta da Regaleira
How to get there: 30 mins walking / 10 mins by taxi / 434 bus to Sintra Town + walk another 12 mins
Time needed: 2 hours
Sitting at the outskirts of Sintra’s historic center, the Quinta da Regaleira is easily walkable from the train station. It takes about 30 mins to walk there and you have nice views of the town center, flowers, and the Sintra National Palace on the way. Quinta da Regaleira was mainly designed by the Italian architect Luigi Manini in the late 1800s and is a shockingly beautiful estate. You can walk around a romantic palace, chapel, and a lush park that features the famous Initiatic Well, grottoes, and towers. We found the gardens especially peaceful. We recommend visiting this spot first because it’s less touristic and you’ll find fewer crowds during the morning.
???? Stop 2: Castelo dos Mouros
How to get there: 16 mins by taxi / 434 bus from train station
Time needed: 2 hours
Located on a high rocky mountain above the town, the Moorish Castle is a spectacular site. To get here, we walked back to the train station and caught the 434 bus. With the bus ticket you can hop on and off as you please for the day. Alternatively, you can also take a tuk tuk or taxi from the center, which will save you more time at the ruins. The fortification itself was built in the 10th century during the time the Moors occupied the area. Its strategic position helped defend both the surrounding territory and the maritime access routes to the city of Lisbon. It is fun walking on the castle walls and taking in the unique views over the town and the Atlantic Ocean.
???? Stop 3: Pena Palace
How to get there: 3 mins by taxi / 15 mins walk
Time needed: 2.5 hours
For your last main stop of the day we recommend the famous Pena Palace and Park. It’s only a 15 mins walk from the Moorish Castle and it’s less crowded at the end of the day. This is the most famous attraction in all of Sintra for a good reason. The Palace stands in a 200 hectare park, filled with colorful flowers, small ponds, and beautiful viewpoints. Once you step inside the palace itself, you’ll be amazed by the blend of vibrant colors and beautiful architecture. You can also explore the interior and get an idea for the history of this palace, which once served as a holiday residence for the Portuguese royal family.

Ireland's rich culture, enchanting green landscapes and friendly locals are just a few reasons why so many travelers make the journey to this island country.
Number 10. Sligo
This pretty town is only a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Dublin. And what a drive it is. From the crashing Atlantic Ocean to the majestic mountains, sparkling lakes, and lush fields, there are plenty of natural wonders to gape at in this lovely spot.
Number 9. Clifden
A small city, Clifden certainly packs in a ton of beauty. Nestled quietly within the Twelve Bens Mountains and beside the mouth of Clifden Bay, you'll be hard-pressed to find a more breathtaking town. Tall church steeples are dwarfed by towering mountain peaks while colorful buildings pop against nature's lush green backdrop. Stone walkways line the serene River Owenglin, which runs through the center of town.

Another example of old world meets modern day, Tralee boasts historic Georgian homes interlaced with contemporary buildings and concrete piazzas. Perhaps best known for its annual Rose of Tralee International Festival, Tralee is short on tourists at other times of the year, but big on charm. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Tralee is the Kerry County Museum, which includes life-sized dioramas that bring life in the 20th century to the forefront of our modern day culture.

Jutting into Dingle Bay, on the spectacular Dingle Peninsula, is one of the quaintest fishing towns you'll ever come across. For a small city, Dingle offers plenty of fun and interesting things to do. What this town is best known for, though, is its more natural surroundings.

If you like to eat, you'll love Kinsale. Known as the Gourmet capital of Ireland, this small city has a motto that gastronomes will truly appreciate. Every October, this tasty town highlights its delicious fare in the annual Kinsale Gourmet festival. Ep 3 Exploring Bastar, Chhattisgarh | Chitrakote Waterfalls | 1000 year Old Architecture temple
Chitrakote Waterfalls is so famous that people from all over the world visit Chhattisgarh to see this important tourist location.
Chitrakote is located at a distance of 40 km from Jagdalpur ( District headquarter town of Bastar district)
Following are the activities we did as part of this tour
Stay accomodation - we stayed at Dandami resort at Chitrakote which is at a distance of only 300 meters from the Chitrakote falls.
River confluence - we saw confluence of Indravati and Narangi river near Chitrakote falls.
Traditional food lunch near Narayanpal temple - Papite ki sabji, Lal Bhaji and Aamat. Here they charge Rs 50 per dish.
9691036667 - Dhanuje - we had lunch at his home, located at a distance of 400 meter from Narayanpal vishnu temple.
Naryanpal Visnu temple visit - we visited this 1000 year old temple, saw its architecture and our visit was really memorable.
Salfi and chind tree - we saw this tree for the first time and tasted salfi, which is local beer of Bastar district.
After this we ended our day at Dandami Luxury Resort.

ℹ️ about this adventure:
In this adventure we spent the night exploring what Grand Lake RV Resort had to offer. It was a quick one night stop, but a beautiful place to do so! AND under 2 hours from DIsney, so makes it an easy drive in to the Fort the next morning for check in! (We just need to work up to getting to this park in one day!)
Ben wanted to know why we weren't staying here longer so he could get the kayak out. He ended up buying a year long FL fishing license because he knows we will be back somewhere in the state to fish!

Loved my stay at Citra Royal Palm RV Park in Citra Florida Highlights
I had a really great stay at this RV park. I love the community feel. There are some great people here, and I can't wait to go back! They allow all types of campers from Pop-ups, Motorhomes, Skoolies, and Campervans. You can find their information on their Facebook page or their website There is a community garden and a club house with a bathroom, shower, and coin laundry. The dumpster was conveniently located in an area that is just a short walk from anywhere in the park. There's lots of room to walk your pets. My dogs loved it there and were also welcomed. This is a great place to stay during your travels or a long term basis. It feels like home now. I love it! ???? Welcome to the Above Always Channel! ????

Dakshina Chitra is one place that you must never miss to visit in Chennai. This is a living museum that has collections of building from four different southern states such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. The Museum is well maintained by the Madras Craft Foundation and is built on a 10 acre land. Every corner you look around is full of greens. I must say that this a great place in Chennai to have photoshoots. DakshinaChitra is located in Muttukadu, the ECR road that connects Chennai and Pondicherry. One can spend a good 3 to 4 hours of time in here.
There are around 18 heritage houses inside and you can see and buy things from the craftsmen who work permanently there. If possible you can try your hands on Pottery and such. A lot of workshops are conducted here as well. While spending hours inside you needn't worry about food either. All such facilities are inside. I must insist you on visiting here if you are in Chennai and you wouldn't regret I promise. Holidays only on Tuesday and on Diwali. Open from 10 am to 6 pm.
