One of the great journeys in Europe is Italy by Train. With today’s high-speed trains, it is a quick and easy way to see Italy’s great cities, museums, masterpieces, and the amazing Italian countryside.
In this itinerary we’ll start in Milan, with day trips to Venice and Bellagio. Then off to Florence with a half day in Pisa. Then south, to the Positano on the Amalfi Coast for some beach time and relaxing in the sun, with a day trip to the Island of Capri. Circling back, we’ll head to Rome and then back to Milan to complete the route.

An der Grenze zu Frankreich und dem Aostatal gelegen erstreckt sich die Provinz Turin über das Pinerolo, das malerische Susatal, das Canavese und das Hügelland im Osten und Süden der Regionalhauptstadt.
Das Gebiet ist durch eine Reihe von unterschiedlichen Landschaften geprägt: herrliche Skigebiete in den Alpen, weite Wiesen und Weiden, Wälder und große Weinbaugebiete. Es gibt auch zahlreiche Schutzgebiete wie das Naturreservat Sacro Monte in Belmonte und den prächtigen Nationalpark Gran Paradiso, das unbestrittene Reich der Steinböcke, Gämsen, Murmeltiere, Vögel und anderer seltener Tiere.

Das gesamte Gebiet trägt deutliche Spuren der langen Regierungszeit des Hauses Savoyen, zu denen die wunderschönen, von weitläufigen Parks umgebenen Residenzen des Hauses Savoyen rechnen, die von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt wurden.
Doch der stärkste Ausdruck der Macht Savoyens ist Turin selbst. Die vielseitige Stadt kombiniert wie in einem Freilichtmuseum barocke Bauten, Denkmäler, die mit der großartigen Vergangenheit zusammenhängen, und zeitgenössische Architektur: eine dynamische Stadt, in der unterschiedliche Realitäten harmonisch koexistieren.
Unzählige weitere Kleinode hat die Provinz zu bieten: von großen Festungen wie der Festung Fenestrelle und der Festung Exilles, die auf steilen Bergen thronen, bis zu Abteien, die sich am alten Frankenweg entlang ziehen oder abgeschieden in der Natur liegen wie der berühmte Sacra di San Michele, eines der eindrucksvollsten Denkmäler des Piemont.
Historische Städte liegen im ganzen Gebiet verstreut und sind die Hüter alter Traditionen, wie etwa Ivrea mit seinem bemerkenswerten Kunsterbe, Susa, Chivasso, Chieri etc. bis hin zum kleinen Dorf Mélezet, das kostbare Kunstschätze aus dem 15. Jahrhundert birgt.
Die regionale Küche ist einzigartig: Köstliche Gerichte, traditionelle Rezepte, ausgezeichnete Weine und die berühmte Gianduia-Schokolade bieten für jeden Geschmack etwas.

To plan a food and wine tour in Piedmont, Italy, there are several elements to be taken into consideration.
The aim of this video is to understand how staying in a town center or in the middle of the countryside affects the cost of the transportation that you need to get around. Therefore the hotel location has an impact on the budget of your vacation, regardless of the type of hotel where you decide to stay at.
Po, Italy - 3 Day Kayak Trip from Turin to Valenza
3 day trip with two inflatable kayaks (Gumotex Helios 1 and Swing 1) from Turin to Valenza in early March 2019. Whitewater class 0, 1 and 2.

We travelled by car from Germany to Turin where we have parked close to our starting point. From Valenza we got back to the car by train and taxi (from Turin train station to San Mauro).

The water level was low but still runnable without problems. The water level was at Torino Murrazi 0.35 m, San Sebastiano 0.95 m, Crescentino 0,85 m, Valenza -0,35 m. You can find the values here:

Day trip to Aosta
We take a drive through Mount Blanc Tunnel from Chamonix, France to Aosta, Italy returning via Switzerland over the Great Saint Bernard Pass.

Friends! We rented a car in Italy and DROVE ourselves along the cliffs to Sorrento! It was a little scary, especially in Naples (no cliffs, but they drive a little wild there) but we made it safely! In this video we are exploring Sorrento, going to a stunning cliffside beach, adventuring to the countryside to make pizza from scratch (which interestingly is actually up the mountain so maybe that makes it mountainside hehe).
