We also take a boat around the bay and explore the central area of town. The two hotels we stayed at while in Zihuatanejo were Hotel Irma and The Hotel Mexicana. Zihuatanejo was established as a fishing village popularized by The Shawshank Redemption but now a days it's considered one of Mexicos finest beach towns. El acceso tiene un costo de $30 pesos por persona, está prohibido entrar con cosas de vidrio y fumar. Hay renta de chalecos por si no sabes nadar y de mesas por si deseas comer algo. La Mina Prehispánica se encuentra debajo del hotel Posada de la Misión, el acceso tiene un costo de $150 pesos por persona, el recorrido dura aproximadamente 1 hora y vas con un guía especializado que te explica todo lo que se encuentra ahí dentro y también se puede practicar rappel dentro de la mina.

The fusion of races in the state of Guerrero is an attraction for culturally spirited travelers. You can learn the traditions of the various ethnic groups that live in and around Chilpancingo, many of them engaged in the production of art and crafts. Ixcateopan de Cuauhtemoc is near Chilpancingo, which is a community that witnessed the birth, and that probably holds the remains of Cuauhtemoc, the greatest warrior who ever lived in Mexico, who fought the first major battle to defend Mexico against the onslaught of the Spanish. In Santa Maria Oapan, Ameyaltepec and Xalitla, Nahua populations located between the cities of Iguala and Chilpancingo have specialized in the development of painting on amate bark paper. Its commercial success has been such that the adjoining communities of Maxela, San Juan and Ahualicán and Ahuehuepan have been devoted to this folkloric art. Various important ethnic groups live in Guerrero, whose linguistic and cultural expressions have given the region a very special image. Mixtecs, Nahuas, Amuzgos and Tlapanecos share the land with a large number of mestizos (mixed race) and other groups of African descent. Thus, the rare mosaic of the municipalities must be added to the more than 20 different languages distributed in the seven regions, which are the Mountains, North, Central, Acapulco, Costa Chica, Costa Grande and Tierra Caliente.

Taxco, Guerrero: Callejoneada (Legends) Tour - MEXICO w/Mike Vondruska - Travel Guide
A Callejoneada tour takes place in the evening in the side streets and alleys (Callejones) of many cities in Mexico. Young actors dress up in costumes to act out traditional stories or legends about mysterious events which have supposedly taken place in and around the city.
It's a fun tour with live music, singing, drinking and sometimes dancing. The tequila or mezcal is just a part of the cost of these tours and usually flows freely. Needless to say, you will REALLY be feeling good after several refills.
This Callejoneada takes place in the Callejones (back alleys) of the city of Taxco in the Mexican state of Guerrero.
Even though all the dialog and singing are in Spanish, it is still a fun tour to go on even is you don't know the language. Just go anyway and get immersed in the lively celebration and acted out legend stories. It will be a fun night on cultural immersion.
