Cheat Lake near Morgantown, West Virginia
Originally called Lake Lynn, this reservoir was formed after the creation of a dam in Cheat River (around 1925). In 1976, it was given the official name, Cheat Lake.
Located near Morgantown, West Virginia in Monongalia County, this lake is enjoyed by many people for boating, fishing, swimming, social gatherings, or for a scenic view.
