Chadron State Park is Nebraska’s first state park, founded in 1921 and is nestled among the distinctive buttes and canyons of Nebraska’s Pine Ridge.
The state park is a popular spot for camping, family reunions, and old-fashioned vacations where guests can escape and enjoy spending time in one of the state’s most famous landscapes. It is also a popular spot for hikers and bikers.
The park offers a swimming pool, horseback trail rides, tennis and sand volleyball courts, craft center, snack bar, souvenirs, mountain bike rentals, paddle boats on the picturesque lagoon, fishing, hiking, evening programs, picnic tables, shelters (which can be reserved), water, dump station, showers, and modern restrooms.
Park open year-round.

Day 7 of our road trip from FL to Montana we spent half the day at Agate Fossil Beds National Monument in Nebraska. This protects the Mammal Fossils and Fossil Beds that they found from the Miocene Era (5-23 Million years ago) WOW!

Exploring NEBRASKA in only ONE DAY: Chadron State Park + Chimney Rock + Toadstool Geologic Park
Hey ya'll! In today's vid, we're going to explore my homeland. I'm doing so with one of my best friends from college, Kyle. ???? He is from Illinois and has never experienced western Nebraska. I may be biased, but it represents *true* Nebraska. Anyways, having been raised in the area I figured what better way to show him around than be his personal tour guide for the day! I did just that and we had an absolute blast. We trekked from the Colorado state line, the South Dakota border, and back all while trying to beat the sun from setting. Even as a native my eyes were opened to Nebraska's beauty and all the adventure it has to offer! However, that's only my opinion...watch to see what our city boy, Kyle, thinks about the panhandle. ????????
