Lake Como, also known as Lario, is the third largest Italian lake (after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore). Located at the foot of the Alps, Lake Como offers some of the most romantic and picturesque sceneries in the world.
Its characteristic shape, resembling an inverted Y, comes from the melting of glaciers combined with the erosive action of the ancient Adda river. This led to the formation of the two southern branches that culminate in the cities of Como and Lecco, in the middle of which lies the famous Bellagio. Beautiful VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO / Lake Como / Italy (4K)
The beautiful Villa del Balbianello is known for its scenic terraced gardens and stunning views of Isola Comacina and the western shore of Lake Como. It's the setting for several movies, including James Bond - Casino Royale, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and A Month by the Lake.
Villa del Balbianello is located near the town of Lenno from where you can get a taxiboat for a short ride or walk 1km through a park.
You can buy tickets to see only the gardens or you can join a guided tour to see the interiors.
The whole complex consists of two residential buildings, a church, and a portico that overlooks a little dock. The main building of Villa del Balbianello hosts some English and French furnishings, which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
The villa was built in 1787 for Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini who set out to create the most beautiful garden on the Tremezzo Riviera.
In 1976 the property was bought by the famous explorer Count Guido Monzino who dedicated much effort to restoring the house and its grounds. The upper floor of the villa is dedicated to him and his life.
Today, the villa belongs to FAI (a fund for the preservation of the environment ) and is home to private events such as weddings, ceremonies and even film or photographic sets.

This video is all about Cernobbio - a town we fell head over heels with. You hear about Bellagio, Varenna, and other towns around Lake Como but what about Cernobbio?! How can such a GORGEOUS town be so underrated?!
We're here to show you its stunning landscape, from its beautiful little alleys and corners to the incredible views over the lake it offers.

This time, we were in search of the Christmas Market Città dei Balocchi , which ended up being not so easy to find. So we ended up visiting both the town of Como and Cernobbio.
