Храм Васи́лия Блаже́нного, официально собо́р Покрова́ Пресвято́й Богоро́дицы, что на Рву (также Покро́вский собо́р, собо́р Покрова́ на Рву) — православный храм на Красной площади в Москве, памятник русской архитектуры.
Построен в 1555—1561 годах. Объединяет одиннадцать церквей (приделов), часть из которых освящена в честь святых, дни памяти которых пришлись на решающие бои за Казань. Центральная церковь сооружена в честь Покрова Пресвятой Богородицы, вокруг которой группируются отдельные церкви в честь: Святой Троицы, Входа Господня в Иерусалим, Николы Великорецкого, Трёх Патриархов: Александра, Иоанна и Павла Нового, Григория Армянского, Киприана и Иустины, Александра Свирского и Варлаама Хутынского, размещённые на одном основании-подклете, а также придел в честь Василия Блаженного, по имени которого храм получил второе, более известное название, и церковь Иоанна Блаженного, вновь открытая после длительного запустения в ноябре 2018 года.
В названии упомянут ров, проходивший вдоль Кремлёвской стены и служивший оборонительным укреплением (Алевизов ров), его глубина была около 13 метров, а ширина — около 36 метров.

Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure is a central park in Moscow, named after Maxim Gorky. In August 2018, the Park's 90th anniversary was celebrated.
Gorky Park, located at Krymsky Val and situated just across the Moskva River from Park Kultury Metro station, opened in 1928. The park followed the plan of Konstantin Melnikov, a widely known Soviet avant-garde and constructivist architect, and amalgamated the extensive gardens of the old Golitsyn Hospital [ru] and of the Neskuchny Palace, covering an area of 300 acres (120 ha) along the river. The history of the Neskuchny Garden can be traced back to 1753 when it emerged in the area between Kaluzhskaya Zastava and Trubetskoy Moskva river-side estate. The neighboring area to Neskuchny Garden, from Krymsky Val to Neskuchny Garden, received little attention right up until the 1920s. Initially, it was covered with park gardens, meadows, and vegetable gardens belonging to the owners of neighboring estates. It formed a wasteland by the end of the 19th century and served as a waste heap.
The First All-Russian Agricultural and Handicraft Industries Exhibition opened in 1923 on the wasteland that had been cleared during the course of communist community workdays. A resolution for the exhibition was passed[by whom?] on 19 October 1922 and the exhibition opened one and a half years later on 19 May 1923. After bidding for the exhibition's layout plan, which proposed four arrangements — Sokol, Khodynskoye Pole, Petrovsko-Razumovsky park, and the river areas near Krymsky bridge — preference was given to the last option.
On 15 March 1928 by a resolution of the Presidium of the Moscow Council, the Agricultural and Handicraft Industries Exhibition was enlarged and transformed into the Central Park of Culture and Leisure — the country’s first park of its kind, which was referred to as an outdoor cultural enterprise. In 1932 the park was named after M.A. Gorky. The idea of a need for a central park of culture and leisure in Moscow arose in the late 1920s in relation to Moscow's reconstruction with notions of a socialist city of the future.

In 2008, I walked through China - 1 year, 4500km. I let my hair and my beard grow. This is the resulting video. UPDATE: ▶ I have decided to continue my walk home from China to Germany. I'm currently in Turkey, or about halfway through.I post daily videos on this channel, and I blog about it here:
ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
▶ I didn't finish my original goal of walking to Germany in 2008. Instead, I walked for a year and roughly 4500km, passed the Gobi desert, and then decided to stop walking.
▶ All of the distance from Beijing to Ürümqi was completed solely on foot, straight good old walking. There are instances where you can see me in the video sitting on a plane or riding a boat, but those are during breaks I had to take from walking, either to sort out bureaucracy issues or to take care of some personal things.
▶ I had been planning this trip for over a year before I even started, and getting as far as I got was an experience for which I am very grateful.
▶ Obtaining the necessary visa for a trip like this was not very easy, hence I had to go back to Beijing a few times to resolve some issues.
▶ This is not a strict 1 pic a day video, because I wanted to make it a bit more alive by adding some additional movement. Sometimes during the film you would follow me turn around, or something would happen in the background. I tried to capture these moments to make the video more interesting.

10 Things to do in Poznań, Poland Travel Guide script:
Eager to explore Poznan, our first stop of the day was the Old Market Square, which is a sight to behold. As soon as we turned the street from our apartment, we were greeted with the Old Town Hall.
The top attraction here is a row of buildings known as the Merchant Houses. They stand shoulder to shoulder and are painted in different patterns, adding a bright splash of colour to the town.
The Royal Castle dates back to 1249, though if you think it looks rather new, that’s because it was mostly destroyed during WW2 and it had to be rebuilt. After paying for our tickets, we made a beeline straight for the tower, to enjoy some views of Poznan.
After visiting the castle, we did some wandering around the Old Town and ended up at the Former Jesuit College. This is where young people were educated in theology and philosophy.
Today the college houses the City Council, so we couldn’t really tour the place, but they do have a nice courtyard and a cafe for visitors.
Another thing to do in Poznan is visit Fara Poznanska, a beautiful Baroque church located right next to the Former Jesuit College. We arrived just as they were setting up for the weekly concert, so we sat down for a bit of music.
From there, we walked west of the Old Town, where things have more of a modern look. We saw the Fontana Wolnosh-chi Wolności, had a quick peek inside the Imperial Castle, and we also discovered that Polish people have a big love for ice cream.
We later googled Kolorowa and discovered that it’s the best ice cream shop in Poznan, so maybe we should’ve stood in line!
After visiting Cathedral Island, we went past Śródka, which is a really cool neighbourhood with lots of street art. We then had a little break by Lake Malta, which looked to be a popular weekend spot.
Another cool thing to do in Poznan is to visit KontenerArt, which is part urban beach, outdoor bar, art space, children’s playground, food cart central, and herb and spice garden. This was an unexpected find and it was really nice to see people of all ages enjoying this space.
On a rainy afternoon, we paid a quick visit to Poznan’s Archaeological Museum. Admittedly, it’s mostly geared towards children, but it was a fun way to stay dry.

???????? RIGA, LATVIA - Welcome back to Riga, Latvia for Part 3 of my 4 part series from the Baltics. In this 2020 Baltics Travel series, we are not only visiting Riga, but also Tallinn, Estonia.
If you're planning a Riga trip and looking for some things to do in Riga, my series could be right up your street. In previous videos, we've visited the art nouveau Riga Old Town, Riga's Freedom Monument, and The Corner House, which is the building which formerly housed the Cheka (or the KGB).
In this video, we head to the bus station area to visit Europe's largest market - Riga Central Market. It's situated in former airship hangers dating back to 1920. Each hanger is filled with either meat, fish, dairy, and produce. We have some Latvian food such as zefir (common across the region and Russia) as well as sprats on rye bread (a classic example of food in Riga!)
The Riga food market is HUGE and is an ideal opportunity to experience the daily life of a Latvian in Riga.
I also cover some details on my experience as a Digital Nomad in Riga. As well as producing videos for this channel, I run a website/blog, write Ebooks and teach business English online. As a result, I stay in Airbnbs long-term and need certain things like good wifi and suitable amenities. I'd definitely recommend Riga for Digital Nomads!

Бенидорм – это один из самых динамично-развивающихся городов на побережье Испании.
Оба этих города находятся на Коста-Бланке.
В видео я разобрался в какой город нужно ехать и для каких целей.
На стороне Аликанте: размер, история, достопримечательности (крепость Санта-Барбара, крепость Сан-Фернандо, дом Карбонеля). И вообще, в Аликанте много есть, что посмотреть.
На стороне Бенидорма: одни из самых высоких и красивых зданий Испании, современная архитектура, небольшой старый город и балкон Средиземноморья.
У Аликанте есть пляж Постигет и пляж Сан-Хуан.
У Бенидорма есть пляж Леванте и пляж Пониенте.
Какой лучше и куда стоит ехать на Коста-Бланке в Испании?

Gastronomic Market in St. Petersburg, Russia. Food Courts - Walking Tour

A new type of food court occupied two buildings of the historic Andreevsky market.
The market space is divided into two semantic parts.
The first is a huge two-level food hall made up of a very convincing set of tenants:

Due to the fact that this location was also chosen for most educational institutions, the literacy rate of the families of Vasilyevsky Island was higher than in other parts of the Northern capital.
The island was connected to the city center by the St. Isaac's Bridge, built in 1727.
Vasilyevsky Island took its final architectural image only at the beginning of the 1830s. And at the beginning of the twentieth century, they began to build houses of the “new” city. Soon, sewerage and water supply were laid in the city, which, however, first supplied water from the Neva.
The proud name Vasileostrovsky district was given to the Vasilyevsky part of St. Petersburg in February 1917.
