DAALLO MOUNTAIN | THE GREEN PARADISE OF SANAAG REGION IN SOMALILAND | 2022 |4k VIDEO
@SomaliSafari recently had group of travelers visited Daallo Mountain officially known as Golis Range Mountains located near the town of Erigavo, in the middle of the Sanaag region Somaliland. Daallo Mountains have an elevation of some 2400 meters and the distance to the white-sand beach of Mayd which is a paradise for lobster and fish lovers is around 45 kilometers on the sea.
Daallo is a prime example of an unspoiled wilderness, a dense forest on a limestone and gypsum escarpment near to the base of Mount Shimbiris, Somalialand's tallest peak. From here the views extend to the Gulf of Aden thousands of meters below.
Vegetation
Daallo is a totally unique place with its 60-miles-long thick forest comprising over 3000 different trees, shrubs and plants such as: adenium, damas tree, green juniper, acacia mellifera, hayramat and mooli flowers, agave tree, aloe vera and buxus forest stand
Wildlife
Fauna that can be found in this national park include the kudu, wild boars, wild ass, warthogs, antelopes, sheep and many different types of birds. the grassland savannah, which attracts many types of wildlife to the area including lions and leopards.

Bosaso is the commercial, biggest and developing city in Puntland, Bosaso is situated in the north-East of Somalia, on the Gulf of Aden. Originally, this place was known as Bander Qasim. It was the name of an Arab trader who came and settled here in the 20th century. If we trace its history, it is quite clear that the Greeks sailed to this place of commerce and it was a strategic location for them. There have been several clans that have ruled the city since ancient times.
Group of Adventure travelers who visited over 190 countries traveled from Garowe, Eyl, Qardho and finally reached Bosaso. they visited some part of the ancient city and enjoyed.
Bosaso is about 1390 KM from the Capital City of Somalia where the distance between Bosaso and Hargeisa is about 870 KM.
Cape Guadaful area has a lot of resources that include: Frankincense, Fishi production, Date Plam, Coal Deposit and Natural water springs and livestock and is one tourist loved to see the real corner of Horn of Africa.

Have you ever heard of Somaliland?! I am absolutely SHOCKED by how amazing this place is. I never expected this!!!
Since 1991, my birth year, Somaliland has been a self-declared region of Somalia and has been seeking international independence since then (which it truly deserves to get). They have their own government, currency, flag, military, and I even had to get a separate Somaliland visa to get inside.
Somaliland strikes a drastic contrast with its neighbor as a land of peace, democratic stability and safety.
I am not just saying this to sound cool, or for the video's sake, but SOMALILAND IS THE SAFEST I'VE FELT OVER THE LAST 2 MONTHS IN AFRICA. By a long shot. I can walk the streets freely at night without worrying about a thing. I have not felt pressure, once, from people trying to scam me. Everyone is so friendly, honest, and welcoming. It's also very cheap, which is a breathe of fresh air for me.
This video accurately displays my thoughts and first impressions of Somaliland -- I can't wait to explore more around this country all week long!
