Aversa is a city and comune in the Province of Caserta in Campania, southern Italy, about 5 kilometers north of Naples. It is the center of an agricultural district, the Agro Aversano, producing wine and cheese.
Aversa is located near the city of Naples, from which it is separated by only 5 kilometers (3 miles), and only 16 kilometers (10 miles) from Caserta, the administrative center of the province to which it belongs. The municipality borders with Carinaro, Casaluce, Cesa, Frignano, Giugliano in Campania, Gricignano di Aversa, Lusciano, San Marcellino, Sant'Antimo, Teverola, and Trentola Ducenta.

The church of San Michele Arcangelo , also known as the Duomo , is the main place of Catholic worship in Casertavecchia , until 1841, the cathedral of the diocese of Caserta. The church, dedicated to San Michele Arcangelo , stands in a medieval village of Lombard origin located on the top of a hill, at 401 meters on the slopes of the Tifatini Mountains . The village is a hillside hamlet located about 10 kilometers from the capital and is now called Caserta old or Casertavecchia but in the Middle Ages simply Caserta (originally Casa Hirta ) before the name passed to the center in the plains (before called Torri, then Caserta new and finally Caserta).
Casertavecchia was an important fortified center, seat of a Longobard county, then Norman, and seat of diocese, after the destruction, in the early Middle Ages, of the ancient Episcopal see of Calatia (near the present Maddaloni ). Documented as a castrum already around 861, it became a possession of the Norman Riccardo di Aversa in 1062 . Thus began the period of Norman domination that saw the urban development of the town, the creation of the diocese and the rise of the cathedral.
The church represents an exemplary episode of the Romanesque period in Campania as it presents at the same time influences coming from Sicily with others coming from the Romanesque and from the paleochristian tradition. Thus we find characters and above all decorative elements derived from the complex architectural style present in the Romanic of Sicily in which Norman elements coexisted with other Arabs and Byzantines and whose influences arrived in Campania through Amalfi. Other elements, for example the characters of the sculptural kit, are instead coming from the north or from the Apulian Romanesque.
The constructive scheme seems instead derived from a more local context and in particular from Montecassino , then at the height of its role as a spiritual and cultural center that spread in southern Rome a typology corresponding to that of the early Christian basilica tradition. The building is built in gray tuff from Campania, an ignimbrite similar to piperno , left exposed to the face. Easily workable, it comes in the variety used in Casertavecchia with a predominantly gray color used, between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries , also in Capua and Salerno
The façade , placed to the west according to tradition, is salient and reflects the interior with three naves ; it is characterized by three portals in white marble of Luni (which contrasts with the gray-ocher tufaceous masonry) with vegetal ornaments that recall ancient iconographies. Zoomorphic sculptures support the architraves and come out from the walls on a shelf. The tympanum is characterized by a series of blind arches intertwined to form ogives resting on six marble columns. A cornice with hanging arches runs on all the facades. The southern façade is decorated with marble lozenges, while the opposite side is characterized by elliptic shapes.
The interior of the church has a commissa cross plan in which the central nave , covered with trusses , is bordered by 18 bare columns , almost all of cipollino marble, surmounted by round arches. The capitals , all different from each other (mostly Corinthian and in different state of conservation) obviously come from ancient Roman buildings of the Imperial age (perhaps a nearby temple of Jupiter Tifatino), apart from three capitals of the period medieval. They are surmounted by a kind of pulvinusof simple parallelepiped form with a function to compensate for the different height of the columns, but in any case a Paleochristian and Byzantine cultural legacy .
The dome , hidden by an octagonal lantern, also dates back to the intervention desired by the Bishop Stabile ( 1207 - 1216 ) and presents outside Sicilian influences that unite it to the contemporary cathedral of Salerno . There are similarities with churches of Ravello of the late twelfth century ( San Giovanni del Toro and Santa Maria a Gradillo ) even if the dome of Caserta exceeds by impressiveness those more or less coeve of the Amalfi coast .

La Giostra della Memoria è un museo diffuso, è un'immensa soffitta in cui tutti vorremmo entrare e curiosare. Si trova al centro di San Salvo, di fronte all'antico palazzo De Vito, a pochi passi dal Museo Archeologico, in un plesso di vecchie case internamente comunicanti. Al loro interno trovano posto oggetti e strumenti che appartengono alla cultura materiale della civiltà contadina abruzzese. Lungo il percorso espositivo vengono proposte al visitatore tematiche legate al territorio e alla valorizzazione delle tradizioni popolari, con particolare riferimento alla Transumanza. Accessibile a diversi livelli e per diverse utenze, la Giostra della Memoria è un itinerario capace di fornire gli elementi essenziali per decifrare il presente e ricostruire il passato, luogo di documentazione, ma anche luogo di sperimentazione e di elaborazione storica e culturale. Per tornare indietro nel tempo, quando la sposa tesseva al telaio la sua dote o lo speziale preparava impacchi con le erbe, quando le felci allontanavano le streghe e la nonna toglieva il malocchio, quando si beveva al boccale o quando i contadini misuravano il tempo con il sole, le pecore camminavano lungo i tratturi e i pastori si fermavano nei santuari.
The Giostra della Memoria Exhibition is an extensive museum, a huge attic where everybody can enter and look round. It is situated in the centre of San Salvo, in front of the ancient De Vito palace a few steps away from the Archaeological Museum, in a group of old houses connected internally. Inside there is a place for objects and instruments belonging to the material culture of the peasant civilization in Abruzzo. Along the visitor's itinerary we are offered basic themes linked to the territory and the enhancement of popular traditions, with special reference to transhumance customs. Arranged at different levels and designed according to different uses, the Giostra della Memoria Exhibition is an itinerary capable of supplying the essential elements to express the present and reconstruct the past, a place of documentation, but also of experimentation and historical and cultural elaboration. All this helps us to go back in time, when the bride weaved her dowry on the loom or when chemists prepared compasses with herbs, a time when ferns kept the witches away and grandmothers broke loose from the evil eye, when people drank from jugs or when peasants measured the passing of time with the movement of the sun and sheep walked along the sheep tracks and shepherds stopped over for the night in the sanctuaries.

Sant'Eufemia a Maiella is a town and comune in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo, central Italy. It is located in the Maiella National Park in a valley enclosed by the western slopes of the Majella massif, and the northeastern slopes of the Morrone group.
History
Originally the town of Sant'Eufemia was known as Santa Femi. In the 14th century the town was renamed Santa Fumia and retained that name until 1863 when, by decree of King Victor Emmanuel II, it was named Sant'Eufemia a Maiella.
Until the 11th century Sant'Eufemia a Maiella was part of the Caramanico Terme. Then, in 1064, Count Berardo gave the church of Sant'Eufemia and surrounding land at Caramanico to the Abbey of San Clemente a Casauria which retained possession of the town until 1145. In 1145, the area became the possession of Boemondo, who was the Count of Manoppello at the time. Eventually, in 1301 ownership was passed on to the Ughelli family and then to Giacomo Arcucci, the Count of Minervino. Upon the death of Giacomo Arcucci in 1389, it became the property of the D'Aquino family.

Abbazia di San Marco alla Paludi - Fermo
L’abbazia di San Marco alle Paludi si trova in campagna, nella contrada Paludi. E’ una delle abbazie più antiche e belle di Fermo. La chiesa, facente parte di una abbazia di cui rimangono pochi resti, risale alla fine del XI secolo ed è stata restaurata alla fine degli anni Novanta.
Malgrado le sue piccole dimensioni, essa è suddivisa in tre navate e al suo interno sono ben conservati numerosi affreschi. Grazie all’ inserimento nel pavimento della chiesa di piani in vetro, è possibile vedere le antiche fondamenta.
Alcuni resti dell’antica abbazia possono essere ancora visti lungo la navata principale. Di grande interesse sono le figure scolpite. Alle pareti delle navate laterali sono invece appesi numerosi quadri contenenti gli ex-voto dei fedeli. Accanto alla Chiesa si trova il convento, attualmente in restauro.
L’elegante giardino esterno, la posizione e l’ambiente in cui è inserita ne fanno una meta apprezzata anche per i matrimoni.

Uno alla volta, #SyusyBlady e #PatrizioRoversi ci portano in tutti i luoghi che ospitano gli eventi di #BolognaEstate2021! Questa settimana li ritroviamo nel cortile d'onore di Palazzo D'Accursio, in Piazza Maggiore. Sede del Comune cittadino dal 1336, Palazzo D’Accursio prende il nome dal giurista e maestro di diritto che aveva qui il suo studio. Il famoso orologio sulla torre che scandisce il tempo di tutti i bolognesi risale al XV secolo, all’interno dell’edificio si possono visitare diverse sale-loggia e le Collezioni Comunali d'Arte, all'ultimo piano.
Per tutto il mese di agosto e fino a metà settembre, ogni giovedì sera il cortile di Palazzo D’Accursio si anima col teatro di figura dalla rassegna Burattini a Bologna con Wolfango, per la direzione artistica di Riccardo Pazzaglia. La tradizione dei burattini di legno a Bologna ha radici antiche, le prime notizie documentate di spettacoli risalgono addirittura al 1600. Figli diretti della Commedia dell’Arte, nel tempo sono diventati uno degli elementi più espressivi del folclore bolognese, da metà del ‘700 una vera e propria moda teatrale di aggregazione della città. Gli spettacoli che vedremo per tutta l’estate attingono direttamente dal repertorio più antico, appuntamento dunque con Fagiolino, Sganapino e il dottor Balanzone!
