Kananga to Capoocan Leyte road trip
Kananga, officially the Municipality of Kananga (Cebuano: Lungsod sa Kananga; Waray: Bungto han Kananga, Tagalog: Bayan ng Kananga), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines.
The majority of Kananga's economic activity has historically been concentrated in agriculture. Some are engaged in commerce and trade since the town is geographically close to a commercially progressive nearby city, Ormoc City, and the coastal town of Palompon, Leyte. The town's main crops are coconut (niyog) and rice (palay).
The municipal center of Kananga is situated at approximately 11° 11' North, 124° 34' East, on the island of Leyte. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at 37.9 meters or 124.4 feet above mean sea level.
Capoocan, officially the Municipality of Capoocan (Waray: Bungto han Capoocan; Tagalog: Bayan ng Capoocan), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines.
The municipal center of Capoocan is situated at approximately 11° 18' North, 124° 39' East, on the island of Leyte. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at 7.4 meters or 24.3 feet above mean sea level.

OP Hill - Capoocan Leyte
OP hill is a part of the historical Breakneck Ridge that was just separated by the national highway. This hill was once used as a vantage point by the Japanese soldiers during the World War 2. Hence, the American forces called the place as Observation Post or OP hill when they siezed the knoll in November 5, 1944.

Calubian is a scenic town situated in the northernmost tip of Leyte Island. Join us as we visit the best in town, including 2 incredible caves that seem to be hidden in the jungle and Moises Beach, dubbed as Little Palawan by the locals. We also explored the first Saint Therese Shrine in Asia and met its founder.
