Inside the market, we had the most extreme and insanely delicious street food in Palermo, Sicily.
We had steamed octopus, a sandwich with Frittola and Stigghiola.

This is a walking tour at Mondello Beach near Palermo, Sicily Italy taken in 2022. Mondello Beach is where people in Palermo go to, it is very easy to get to with public transport or you can bike there which is the way I went there. The beach is very popular and unfortunately most of it is private so you will have to pay for using the area with the umbrellas. During the summer months the beach is completely packed. Near by Mondello Beach is the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve which in my opinion is better but it is very rocky. Here, you have crystal clear waters, less people and more natural. There is also a mountain overlooking the area for some stunning views. To access the area you only have to pay 2 euros and you can go all along the beach.

Mondello boasts a gorgeous 1.5km-stretch of fine white sand, shallow electric blue waters, an architectural treasure of Liberty Style villas, a host of excellent seafood restaurants, numerous bars and a vibrant summer atmosphere.

Mondello is located about 11 kilometers north of the city center of Palermo and divided from it by a charming green park called Parco della Favorita and protected by mountain Monte Pellegrino and mountain Monte Gallo.
Mondello also offers some attractions to visit, among them, do not miss the many beautiful Liberty-style villas, which are considered to be the best Italian expression of the Art Noveau style. Many of these villas were built by architect Ernesto Basile, and the most famous one is Villa Caboto.
Located on a pier in the middle of Mondello bay there is an impressive Liberty-style building of the twentieth century, completely restored and called Charleston. The Bathing Establishment, designed by architect Rudolf Stualker, was originally designed for the city of Ostend, but was moved to Mondello due to the greater beauty of the landscape. T
