Immerse into this magical ambience with the Minister of Ambience.
This time we explore the streets of Porto in the early fall of 2020. Our trip starts at Praça dos Poveiros heading westbound to São Bento train station, turn south through the Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto) onto Luís I Bridge overlooking the Douro river and the Monastery of Serra do Pilar (Igreja da Serra do Pilar). We find ourselves in the city of Vila Nova de Gaia and after walking its downhill streets we turn back to Porto to check out the city riverfront and quays (Cais da Ribeira). From here we move to our final destination - Porto City Hall, passing on our way the Monument Church Of St Francis and Mercado Ferreira Borges, a city market.

EN: Águas Livres Aqueduct in Lisbon, Portugal. The Águas Livres Aqueduct is a historic aqueduct in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It is one of the most remarkable examples of 18th-century Portuguese engineering. The main course of the aqueduct covers 18 km, but the whole network of canals extends through nearly 58 km.
The city of Lisbon has always suffered from lack of drinking water, and King John V decided to build an aqueduct to bring water from sources in the parish of Caneças, in the modern municipality of Odivelas. The project was paid for by a special sales tax on beef, olive oil, wine, and other products

O Aqueduto foi mandado construir por D. João V, no século XVIII, tendo origem na nascente das Águas Livres, em Belas, Sintra, e o progressivamente reforçado e ampliado ao longo do século XIX. Resistiu incólume ao Terramoto de 1755.
