THE NEW TARANGBAN FALLS, CALBAYOG CITY, SAMAR
Went to my best waterfalls yet, the majestic Tarangban Falls of Calbayog City in Samar.
Tarangban falls is likely one of the highest waterfalls in Calbayog City. It looks like being dropped down several times while the water passes through the big rocks and that’s what makes it a stunning landscape to behold. The waterfall owns an interesting brink and looks so wide. And while the water flows down in slope direction and bumps on a huge rock, it appears wider and jaw-dropping as you keep gazing at its natural beauty. The water is cold, which will surely mollify your jaded body after your arduous trek. You can also get near the waterfalls and get to experience the natural massage of Tarangban Falls.
Tarangban Falls is located in Tinaplacan, Calbayog City. It is approximately 4 kilometers away from the main road and a 30 minutes hike from the jump-off point. It is a sight to behold as the crystal clear water cascades through the different rock formations. You can spend all day watching it while enjoying the refreshing flow of the water.

How to get there: From Tacloban City you can ride a van going to Calbayog City and just tell the driver to drop you at Tinaplacan main road (there is a signboard going to Tarangban Falls). From the main road, you can take a habal-habal going to the jump-off point. From the jump-off, you need to hike for about 30 minutes to reach the Tarangban Falls.

First gazed at this marvelous marble formation in Calbayog City in Samar when I worked as an engineer there in 2018. We were actually on our way to Tarangban Falls then when we accidentally bumped into this amazing structure.
Framed by lush emerald forest, the Malopalo Marble Park is a sight to behold. The stark palettes of glistening marble walls against the deep hues of greens & blues make it a real standout, especially from afar. If spelunking is your game, this place offers a real good caving experience too.
I didn't have a drone in 2018 so when I came back this year and actually already bought one, I never missed an opportunity to film one of Calbayog City's famous landmarks.
