Take a walk with me around Calabanga Camarines Sur Bicol Philippines. This was a request from one of my subscribers, so I decided to make the trip to check the place out. Just like many small towns, you rarely see any big commercial franchises. Calabanga didn't even have a Jollibee, I couldn't believe it =) but these are the places that I like to explore, the places that are small and not heavily dominated by western businesses (yet). I'm back in Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region of the Philippines. I plan to visit some of the places that I filmed the last time I was here, as well as some new places. Please bare with me as I will be doing a lot of travel these next few months and beyond. The biggest issue is the internet which is not as common or fast as it is in the Metro Manila area. At any rate, it's great to be back in Camarines Sur Bicol Region, so stay tuned for some content, because we all know that Metro Manila can get old fast, it's always nice to see new places in the Philippines =) Enjoy!

Calaguas: A Paradise Waiting to be discovered in Camarines Norte, Bicol!
We were so amazed with the many attractions of the Bicol Region that we decided to head back and explore the other tourists spots in the province. One must-see we were told is Calaguas, an island that holds a promise of raw beauty with its breath-taking views, powdery white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.
The adventure did not disappoint, In fact we were quite at awe on what were saw experienced when we got to and stayed in the island.

✅ This is third part of our quirky, jittery, jiggly Road Tour Calabanga from Barangay Harubay to Barangay Manguiring via Camuning road, down the slopes of Mt. Isarog, in the province of Camarines Sur.
Along the way, we sprinkled a few notes on elevation (in meter), including coordinates and ID'd landmarks.
Harubay (Harobay), another barangay which shares top-most territorial boundary reaching the rim of the crater of Mt. Isarog.
Crossroad to Barangay Lugsad, another barangay sharing the top-most territorial boundary reaching the rim of the crater/ mouth of Mt. Isarog.
Barangay Comaguingking, one of the barangays sharing top-most territorial boundary reaching rim of the crater of Mt. Isarog.
Mt. Isarog: a dormant stratovolcano has an elevation of 2,011 m (6,598 ft)above mean sea level. On 8 November, 1915, frequent earthquakes were felt on and around Isarog volcano, with some occasional noises. Landslides occurred on its slopes. The seismic activities repeated itself 2 or 3 times at long intervals until 10 January, 1916.
Road under repair and construction will connect Harubay to Tinambac town and the Partido Area municipalities.

This tour took place a week before the typhoon Usman hit the province. There were floods and landslides last December. It was a saddening news. I am lucky to visit this places before the ttragedy happened and it would be an honor to present you the beauty of this province and what its like.May God help the people from Bicol recover faster from the disaster it went through.

I never thought my Cam Sur trip would be this adventure -filled and exciting.
As you would notice in my recent vlogs, I dont arrange for a tour anymore, i like the freedom I get when I customize my own travels, I have my own time, I may enjoy the scenery as long as I want not to mention the amount of money I am saving but most importantly get to explore deeper into one place, taking public transports is really fun, makes you feel like one of the locals, taste local delicacies and immerse the beauty of their culture.
