Maravanthe is a village and a beach near Kundapura, Karnataka, India.
Outlook travel considers it one of Karnataka's most beautiful beaches.[1]it is about 115km from industrial hub Mangalore, 55 km from Udupi and 39 km from tourist town of Bhatkal. NH-66 (erstwhile NH-17) runs next to the beach and the Suparnika River flows on the other side of the road, creating a spectacular scenery that is considered the only one of its kind in India.

Best Place to Visit After Lockdown |Aerial View|Byndoor Ottinene Beach| Someshwara Beach | Karnataka

NOTE: This video was captured earlier this year when there were no lockdown restrictions.
We travelled from Manipal to Byndoor by boarding a train from Udupi to Mookambika Road Byndoor on 12134 Mangaluru Jn-Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus superfast express. The train had also reached our destination late by one hour. we immediately took an auto-rickshaw towards the footsteps of a hilltop from where we need to resume climbing the steps for almost 10 minutes. we reached up on time before the sunset and we spent approximately 30 minutes. On return, we took the 22635 Madgaon Jn-Mangaluru central Superfast express back to Udupi.

Exploring Udupi- Ottinene Beach | Someshwara Beach and Sunset View Point in Byndoor (Baindoor)
Ottinene beach is a scenic beach in coastal Karnataka, popular because of an elevated cliff that offers captivating views of the beach below.
Ottinene Beach: The beach and backwaters is a scenic beach where the Byndoor river enters Arabian sea. The shallow beach area, with hills in one corner is safe, scenic and photogenic. Sunset view is worth waiting for.
Kshitija Nesara Dhama: Kshitija Nesara dhama is a small park overlooking the beach. It has a few cottages for stay, a view point, large grassland and a hiking trail down the woods towards the beach.
Someshwara Temple: a small but popular Shiva temple right next to Ottinene beach.
Places to visit near the Beach: Maravanthe beach (25 kms), Kollur Mookambika Temple (35kms), Murudeshwara (34 kms) are some of the other spots worth visiting along with Ottinene Beach.
How to reach the Beach: Ottinene beach is 440 kms from Bengaluru and 125 kms from Mangaluru (nearest airport). Mookambika road Byndoor railway station is just 4 kms from the beach. Buses are available till Byndoor town and from there, auto can be hired to reach the beach.
Places to stay near the Beach: Kshitija Nesara Dhama has a couple of cottages right above the beach, which can be booked by contacting the Forest Department office in Kundapura. Sai Vishram beach resort is a luxury property very close to the beach. More stay options are available in Byndoor and Kundapura (35 kms from Ottinene) towns

How did Byndoor get its name?
Byndoor is pronounced as By-an-door and is also, spelled as Baindur. The name goes back to the legend of a sage by the name of Bindu. It is said that he performed a penance somewhere along the Ottinene hills. This is a small coastal village is just 70 km from Udupi. The Byndoor river flows through the village into the Arabian sea and it is the confluence of the two that make an amazing landscape – (From Thrillingtravel.in).
How to get to Byndoor?
The best way to get to Byndoor is by rail. The town has its own station that is part of the Konkan railway route. There are regular trains from Mangalore and Bangalore that get you to Byndoor.
Byndoor does not have its own airport at the moment, though there are plans for one small one. The closest one right now is at Mangalore which is 130 km away. One can hire a cab at the Mangalore airport or just get into the many public buses headed to Byndoor.
Byndoor is located on the Mangalore-Goa highway. The drive to Byndoor from Mangalore or even Udupi is very scenic. You will be passing through the lovely Maravante beach.

In this video we have described complete details of The Best Heritage Resort in Udupi.
Sai Radha Heritage Resort
This is actually at Kaup Beach which is 22 km far from Malpe Beach. Malpe is very congested and crowdy, so if someone want to stay at less crowded area then Kaup is the best choice.
Room rate is Rs 4500 for 2 person/Room for 2 Night. Children up to 8 years is free. For extra person in each room Rs 500 extra. Breakfast is Complementary. But they can arrange room delivery of Lunch/Dinner from outside which is tasty too. Veg/Non-Veg both item can be ordered. Total 22 rooms are there. Out of that 12 is sea facing and 10 just behind it. Sea facing rooms are old fashioned and backside rooms are luxurious and all kinds of modern facility present at room. All the staff is very friendly and good in nature.
If someone not get seaside room then please avail back side room also. But honestly this is the BEST BEACHSIDE RESORT in UDUPI.
Rate is NEGOTIABLE depending on season.
