Unique Places in Budapest | 5 Things to Do in Pozsonyi Street | Hungary Travel Guide

In this video we'll show you a Unique Place in Budapest tourist guides often overlook: Tte Pozsonyi út, which is a hidden gem filled with restaurants, brunch places, cafes and shops!

When in Hungary, Budapest, The Margaret Boulevard is full of interesting sights you can enjoy as you make your way from one nice place to another while exploring the capitol. You may have been to Margaret Island or looked at the gorgeous looking Vígszínház theater, but you may have missed a little street right next to Margaret Bridge: The Pozsonyi út!

This street has many restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. If you want traditional Hungarian cuisine, want to explore how the local asian restaurants are, get hungry for spanish tapas, or want to try some italian, you'll surely find something that wont dissapoint.

The are also has many small artisan shops for baked goods, pizza slices, or sweet desserts.

There are also many cafes which focus on delivering a cozy experience along with some specialty coffee, so if you also enjoy coffee for its flavor, make sure to visit them! You can also buy some excellent coffee beans!

What's also really cool about the Pozsonyi street is that most places are pet friendly, there are even dedicated spaces on the street in case your little one needs to go!

It's impossible to call out all the places, even we didn't have the ability to visit every single establishment. We wish that this video inspires you to visit the area and explore it for yourself!

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY TRAVEL GUIDE: In this Budapest Hungary travel tour we explore the old town, hit up the spa and sauna at the Széchenyi Spa, the largest spa in Budapest. Then head over to Buda Castle district and also walk around the Fisherman's Bastion. We did manage to get on the Hop on Hop off Bus for sightseeing Budapest also. Hungarian Food!! ???????? AMAZING GOULASH + Top Attractions in Budapest, Hungary!

???? Copenhagen Street Food Tour:
???? 100% Real Durian Chips - Order Here:

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY - One of the most spectacular cities in Europe, Budapest is a fantastic mix of delicious food loaded with paprika, and amazing attractions to visit. In this Hungarian food tour, we’ll eat delicious local food, and visit some of the most famous attractions. Get ready for a full tour of Budapest, Hungary! #Budapest #HungarianFood #goulash

St. Stephen's Basilica - Since it was on the way to the first restaurant, we stopped for a quick visit to St. Stephen's Basilica, a Roman Catholic basilica in the heart of Budapest. It’s spectacular.

Első Pesti Rétesház - Hungarian Restaurant - Located right in the heart of Budapest, around the corner from St. Stephen's Basilica is Első Pesti Rétesház. Local Hungarian friends had recommended the strudel there, so that’s exactly what I went for. I’m not sure about the other food, but their strudel is fantastic. I tried a sour cherry and a cabbage, both extraordinary. Total price - 1,300 HUF ($4.29)

Hungarian Parliament Building - Also known as the National Assembly of Hungary, this is a landmark and iconic building of Budapest.

Pozsonyi Kisvendeglo - But there was nothing I wanted more than to get started eating local Hungarian food on this tour. So we walked over to Pozsonyi Kisvendeglo, a local restaurant with an indoor section and lovely outdoor terrace. First I ordered one of their specialities, bone marrow with garlic and toast. Then without a doubt, there was nothing I wanted to eat more than Hungarian goulash, the most well known of all Hungarian food. Their goulash was outstanding, flavorful from paprika, and loaded with tender chunks of beef. Additionally, their Pörkölt, a Hungarian meat stew, served with pasta dumplings, was delicious. Ying had the steak with mushrooms, also fantastic. Great Hungarian food! Total price - 8,400 HUF ($27.69) for everything

Matthias Church - Church of the Assumption of the Buda Castle - After lunch we walked across the river to Matthias Church, which was very busy, and unfortunately it wasn’t open on the inside due to a wedding. But the outside was still worth a visit.

Buda Castle - Royal Palace - Finally, the last of the Budapest attractions we visited on this tour was Buda Castle. And then we were ready to eat again!

Náncsi Néni - Located not too far, but outside the limits of Budapest, is a restaurant that I really wanted to try, and so we caught a taxi directly there. Náncsi Néni is exactly what I was hoping for, a local Hungarian food restaurant, serving traditional Hungarian dishes, all within a picturesque tree shaded courtyard. We tried the catfish paprikash stew, and the roasted duck with liver. Both were delicious. Náncsi Néni is a little more of a Hungarian upscale restaurant, but it was well worth it, for the food and ambiance, and it’s a great place for kids too. 18,300 HUF ($60.33) - Total price for everything

Thank you for watching this Hungarian food tour of Budapest, and I hope you have an amazing time when you visit!

WHERE TO STAY IN BUDAPEST: A DISTRICT GUIDE -- True Guide Budapest

The city of Budapest covers more than 500 square kilometers. It is split down the middle by the River Danube, with the residential and hilly Buda on the west side, and the commercial, flat Pest on the east side of it. Budapest has 23 districts (kerület in Hungarian), which are numbered clockwise in widening circles (like Paris' arrondissements). It is easy to find the district from the address of a location, as the two middle digits of the four number zip code indicate it (for example: zip code 1056 means 5th district).
I created this district guide to help you choose where to stay in Budapest depending on the atmosphere and your travel style.

DISTRICT I.: romantic / first time visit
this is the castle district

DISTRICTS II., III., OR XII.: to enjoy greenery and relax
these are all on the hilly Buda side (Rózsadomb, Óbuda, Svábhegy)

DISTRICT V.: the downtown, ideal for business or for families with smaller kids
the city centre (Belváros)

DISTRICT VI.: on a budget and/or to enjoy the culture of the city
this are is called Terézváros

DISTRICT VII.: the Jewish neighborhood but also has great nightlife
this are is called Erzsébetváros

DISTRICTS VIII. AND IX.: cool but perhaps rough neighborhoods
they are called Józsefváros and Ferencváros

DISTRICTS IV. AND X.: they are mainly lower middle class residential and industrial districts
they are called Újpest and Kőbánya

DISTRICTS XI., XIII., AND XIV.: primarily upper middle class residential
district XI. is called Újbuda (on the Buda side), XIII. is Újlipótváros and XIV. is Zugló.

ALL OTHER DISTRICTS (XV., XVI., XVII., XVIII., XIX., XX., XXI., XXII., XXIII.) are further out from the city

I am a proud local Hungarian living in Budapest.
I was born and have lived in this beautiful city, Budapest for decades. I am in love with it - and not because I haven’t seen anything else. I am a seasoned traveller and I have also spent many years living abroad. However, my heart (and wife, and jobs and goulash soup and lángos) have pulled me back to my birth town. I love this city and know it inside out.
If you are fed up with the formal (and often wrong) recommendations of guide books, then follow my channel to find advice from a real local. I give you practical tips, show you cool spots and help you avoid tourist traps.

I live and love Budapest, I want to share my tips with you.

Is the New York Cafe Overrated? | Budapest Travel Guide | Hungary Travels

The New York Cafe in Budapest comes up very frequently in tourist guides as a must visit place when traveling to the Hungarian capitol. In this video we try to figure out if it lives up to the hype and if it indeed deserves the title: The Most Beautiful Cafe in the World?

The New York Cafe is part of the Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel, but even if you are not a guest at the hotel, you can still experience this unique oldschool Cafe. And for sure a lot of people do so because most of the time there is a queue of those who wish to visit it.

Coffee house culture is big in Hungary and there are some really cool old traditional Cafés to visit. One of the most prominent one is the New York Cafe. But It's not just about the coffee, if you wish to eat something nice, there are full meals to choose from.
Just take a look at their menu here:

As a Budapest local I've never been to the cafe myself, but was always curious what it is like thanks to the queue I often see in front of it.
So we took some time to visit the New York Cafe to give an honest opinion about the place.

Stick around till the end of the video to get the full breakdown of our thoughts on this unique experience in Budapest!

Wonders of Hungary - Kopaszi Dam, Budapest

In this episode of our series, we visit Kopaszi Dam, which has been an important leisure location for years in Budapest already, a perfect place for summer walks and to have a little chill out while great food and drinks are just at hand. This part of the city is in permanent renewal: fresh venues appear year by year. You find a beach and many types of water sports too. The recently finished MOL Campus tower has a lookout terrace where you can observe the city from a previously unavailable angle. A neighbourhood that's definitely a day's or at least an afternoon's worth!

MAP OF BUDAPEST HUNGARY

salutations my friends. this is a map of Budapest, hungary. Budapest, strategically placed at the centre of the Carpathian Basin, lies on an ancient route linking the hills of Transdanubia with the Great Plain. By road it is 216 kilometres south-east of Vienna, 545 kilometres south of Warsaw, 1,565 kilometres south-west of Moscow, 1,122 kilometres north of Athens, 788 kilometres north-east of Milan, and 443 kilometres south-east of Prague.

The 525 square kilometres area of Budapest lies in Central Hungary, surrounded by settlements of the agglomeration in Pest county. The capital extends 25 and 29 km in the north–south, east–west direction respectively. The Danube enters the city from the north; later it encircles two islands, Óbuda Island and Margaret Island. The third island Csepel Island is the largest of the Budapest Danube islands, however only its northernmost tip is within city limits. The river that separates the two parts of the city is 230 m wide at its narrowest point in Budapest. Pest lies on the flat terrain of the Great Plain while Buda is rather hilly. excuse me. please comment about Budapest. continuing.
The wide Danube was always fordable at this point because of a small number of islands in the middle of the river. The city has marked topographical contrasts: Buda is built on the higher river terraces and hills of the western side, while the considerably larger Pest spreads out on a flat and featureless sand plain on the river's opposite bank. Pest's terrain rises with a slight eastward gradient, so the easternmost parts of the city lie at the same altitude as Buda's smallest hills, notably Gellért Hill and Castle Hill. thats all for now. thanks for listening. please subscribe for the best maps and for the love of budapest. goodbye. #budapest #budapesthungary #mapschool #mapsolo #mapas #maps

Exploring Budapest: District X

Budapest’s 10th district is a mostly suburban area of town today, but its residential streets have seen plenty of history during their time. The district’s name, Kőbánya, refers to quarrying in the area dating back to the Middle Ages, and Kőér utca – “Stone Ore Street” – still preserves the memory of this old association. We take a look at District X in our latest video.
