US Sends Robot Dogs To Clear Russian Mine Bombs In Ukraine
By deploying a robotic arm in place of its head, Spot could help slide unexploded munitions, such as cluster bombs, into pits containing other munitions, allowing them to be detonated safely away from civilians in batches of 50 to 100 shells, and without endangering any of the 10 HALO teams that were deployed to Bucha and Brovary.
According to the report, it has become increasingly common for deminers to use robots in the field to increase their productivity and mitigate the risk of blowing themselves up on the ground. In general, Spot is an effective tool for keeping people out of harm's way, and the robot is often used to inspect potentially hazardous materials from a safe distance, said Nikolas Noel, the company's director of marketing and communications. Defense Express reported that Ukrainian troops actively use American AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel radar, which was given by the United States.

During the night of the 26th April 1986 one of Chernobyl’s nuclear reactors began to meltdown during a period of routine maintenance, the consequences were dire for those in the surrounding area and it was an event that rocked the entire Soviet Union. After days of trying to keep the disaster secret Soviet leaders finally admitted the incident when other European countries began reporting levels of radiation that were much higher than usual. What was originally reported as minor damage to one of the plant's nuclear reactors was slowly turning into the world’s worst nuclear accident.
At the time Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union and so reporting of it was sparse, and records in relation to the disaster were kept secret. Thousands of people were quietly evacuated from nearby villages and towns and Ukraine’s capital city Kyiv was placed on high alert. Sadly thousands of people died in the accident itself, during the clean up operation immediately afterwards and of long-term effects in the years after the accident.
To tell the story of that horrific night in Soviet Ukraine there is now a museum in Kyiv that explores the events that led to the meltdown, including previously confidential and secret government documents as well as personal testimonies and eyewitness accounts. The Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum in Kyiv is located in an old fire station that sent engines to Chernobyl on the night of the disaster in 1986.
The museum is educational and definitely worth seeing if you’re in Kyiv for a few days. At a cost of less than £1 to enter and an optional audio guide for a few pounds more the experience is great value for money. There are lots of interactive displays, photographs, storyboards and facts about the Chernobyl disaster inside and I can say that I’m definitely glad to have been. Anyone interested in the old Soviet Union or international disasters will find the museum essential viewing and fascinating in equal measure.

Driving through the longest street in Kyiv | Ukraine | 4K
Hello, friends! Today, we're taking a car ride along one of the longest streets in Kyiv, Beresteiskyi Avenue. No music, no talking, just driving. With a length of 7.3 mi (11.8 km), it holds the second position among Kyiv's longest streets, following Brovarskyi Avenue, which stretches 8 mi (13.5 km) from the Metro bridge to the border with Brovary.
The roadway was created in the second half of the 20th century (1964) as part of the urbanized area of the Brest-Lytovske highway and was known as Brest-Lytovskyi prospect. At the beginning of the Soviet perestroika period in 1985, it was renamed to Prospect Peremohy. It gained its current name in February 2023.
Originally being terminated at the Povitroflotskyi overpass, in 1985, when it was renamed, the prospect was extended all the way to the Halytska Square which until 1985 was part of boulevard Tarasa Shevchenka.
Through Halytska Square and boulevard Tarasa Shevchenka, the roadway reaches Khreshchatyk at Bessarabska Square.
Along the streets are located various important institutions of government, education and culture.
It is part of the former M06 business route (currently rerouted along the Kyiv Great Ring Road). Along the prospect are located several overpasses and bridges (Povitroflotskyi, Shuliavskyi, over the Railway crossing, Kovelskyi, over the Great Ring road, and Havanskyi bridge). There are also six metro stations of the Sviatoshynsko–Brovarska line as well as three railway stations.
Beresteiskyi Avenue is one of the few roads that allows you to reach the city center from the outskirts in just ten minutes.

The radiation are really high still. We are going with full protection and with government permission.
