Top 10 worst towns in Alabama.

Top 10 worst towns in Alabama.
In today's list, we will take a look at some of the worst towns in Alabama. These are the towns you probably don't want to be looking for real estate. They have crime, poverty, cheap real estate, and a low cost of living. So if you are thinking about moving to one of these towns and buying a home you have to do a balancing act. Are crime and poverty worth the low prices?
Every state has them so let's take a look. I hope you enjoy it.

Top 10 Most Unique Town Names in the U.S

Today we take a look at the top 10 most unusual town names in the us. If you love funny town names, then this video is perfect!

10. Toad Suck, Arkansas- The town’s name originated back in the 19th century when steamboats would get stuck in the mud during low tide in the Arkansas river. The story goes that to pass the time, one of the favorite games involved sucking on a toad to see who could last the longest without making a face or letting go of the toad. Whether or not this story is true, the name Toad Suck stuck. Today, the town holds an annual Toad Suck Daze festival, which includes live music, a carnival, and a toad-sucking contest. 10,000 likes and I will battle to be the toad suck champion.

9. .Why, Arizona- Why Arizona is located in the southwestern portion of Arizona. Why is Why called Why? Why I’m glad you asked ( disappointed gif ). According to locals, the town's founders were filling out paperwork to establish a post office in the community, and when they were asked to provide a name for the town, they wrote Why on the application. When the postal authorities questioned the name, the founders explained that they chose it because they were tired of being asked Why? when they told people where they lived.
8. . Whynot, Mississippi- See what I did there, Whynot is located in the eastern part of Mississippi. One theory is that the town was named by a group of settlers who were trying to come up with a name for their new community.
7. Idiotville, Oregon- I don’t know a soul who voluntarily would move to a town named idioville, but lets hear some stories on how this place may have gotten its name. The origins of the name are somewhat unclear, but it is believed to have originated in the early 1900s when the area was used as a logging camp. According to local legend, the name Idiotville was given to the camp because the workers there were said to be crazy as loons and stupid as idiots.
6.. Booger Hole, West Virginia- Booger Hole is a town located in the mountains of West Virginia. According to local legend, the town was named by early settlers who noticed that the surrounding mountains were often covered in a thick fog or mist. They jokingly referred to the area as booger country, using the term booger as a reference to a ghost or spirit. The name booger stuck, and when a small community was established in the area, it was named Booger Hole.
4. Hell, Michigan- Hell, Michigan is located in Southeast Michigan. Like a lot of these strange town names, the exact origin of the name is unknown, but there are theories. One theory is that the town was named by George Reeves, a settler who was asked what he thought the town should be called. Supposedly, he replied, I don't care, you can name it Hell for all I care, and the name stuck. Either way the town has embraced the name and offers “hell-themed’ souvenirs.

4. Sugar Tit, South Carolina- Im sorry im diving right into the backstory, i gotta hear this. One theory is that the name Sugar Tit” comes from a local moonshiner who used a sugar-tit-shaped mold to make his moonshine. The mold would have left a distinctive shape on the moonshine, which was then sold with the name Sugar Tit.

3. . Truth or Consequences, New Mexico- Truth or Consequences, New Mexico is a city that was originally named Hot Springs. In 1950, the city changed its name to Truth or Consequences as a result of a radio quiz show by the same name. The radio program, hosted by Ralph Edwards, offered to host its 10th-anniversary broadcast from any town in the United States that would change its name to Truth or Consequences. Hot Springs, New Mexico, was the first town to take the host up on the offer, and in 1950, the city officially changed its name to Truth or Consequences. They have an annual “Truth or Consequences Fiesta” to celebrate the day the town officially changed its name, and i know damn well no Hot Springs, New Mexico would make this list.

2. Monkey’s Eyebrow, Kentucky- This unique town is located in Ballard County, Kentucky, The town's unusual name has an interesting and debated history behind it. One theory is that the name comes from the shape of a nearby curve in the Ohio River, which resembles the brow ridge above a monkey's eye.

1. Burnt Corn, Alabama- Now many of these towns I would not move to because of the name, but I love this one. Located in the southern part of Alabama, One theory is that the name Burnt Corn comes from an incident that occurred during the Creek War of 1813-14. According to the story, a group of American soldiers left a pot of corn cooking on a fire while they went out to fight the Creek Indians. When they returned, they found that the corn had burned, and the soldiers

And that is the top 10 video of the 10 funniest town names in the U.S, some of these are dirty sounding town names and some of these are just some really strange town names!! So if you love unique town names then follow for a part 2

The Restoration of Colonial Williamsburg - The City That Stood Again - (2021) Documentary

Colonial Williamsburg has a long history and a spectacular story. How it came to stand here as it does today is one piece of history that everyone should take the time to learn more about. An amazing vision to bring the old Capitol city of Colonial Virginia back to life is nothing short of an amazing feat of will and sheer determination.

From the Wren Building on the William and Mary campus, to all the way down The Duke of Gloucester Street to where the Grand Union flag flies high above the Capitol building, and every historic structure along Colonial Williamsburg’s most famous road….one man’s influences and early vision for restoration remains the very reason the 18th-century version of the city remains here today.

A remarkable account that began with only a thought of restoration, and then finally, the long haul pursuit to earn the financial support needed to raise Colonial Williamsburg as it once was.

A sometimes painstaking undertaking, with many hurdles and delays, as well as unplanned moments of frustration, breakthrough and compromise. All of which eventually led the Reverend Dr. W.A.R. Goodwin in his attempt to carry out a monumental scheme of restoration in hopes of saving the old city from further destruction and modernization. His hope? To see the Colonial city stand again as it did once before.

Williamsburg is a vast historic area where many well-known men of the Revolution sought out a road to independence, alas, free from British tyranny, amid the boundaries of the old Colonial city here.

The likes of George Washington, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Wythe and many other popular figures of early American independence have walked the streets and lands of Colonial Williamsburg. This documentary is the story of a man who, later in time, was firmly dedicated to restoring this historic 18th-century city as these historical figures once knew it.

Colonial Williamsburg is an outdoor living history museum that welcomes countless fans of Colonial history and curious visitors from across the globe each year.

After viewing this documentary, hopefully, your next trip to Colonial Williamsburg will be enlightened with a new understanding and will allow you to see the historic town from a perspective you will appreciate equally as much as the extensive historical happenings that took place here.

Sinking of USS Carolina (1814)

The sinking of the USS Carolina was a key part of the War of 1812 campaign that climaxed at the Battle of New Orleans. The U.S. warship plagued British troops as they tried to advance against Andrew Jackson's army south of New Orleans in December 1814. The sailors aboard USS Carolina used their 14 cannons to pound British positions day and night. The tables turned on December 27, 1814 when the British army opened fire on the ship from a new shore battery. The land vs. ship battle quickly went against the Carolina and her powder magazine exploded less than one-hour later. Learn more in this story from @TwoEggTV that features on-scene video from Chalmette, Louisiana, reenactent footage, and more!
