If you're looking for some top things to do in Heidelberg, Germany join us for our travel guide as we cover top attractions in the city. Today we’re showing you around this charming and historic university town situated in southwestern Germany. This was the final stop of our trip across Germany and while we only had 3 days here, we still managed to cover a lot of the main attractions in the old town.
In this video, we’ll be touring the ruins of Heidelberg Castle and exploring some of its gems which include an enormous wine barrel and the apothecary museum. We’ll wander through Heidelberg University, which happens to be the oldest university in all of Germany, and at one point had an infamous student jail. Plus, we’ll hike the Philosopher’s Way for epic sunset views, we’ll stroll along the banks of the Neckar River, and we’ll enjoy some hearty German and international dishes along the way because you already know how much we love food.

Driving in Germany: Bundesstraße B35 from Vaihingen an der Enz to Bretten
In this video you can drive along on Bundesstraße B35 from Vaihingen an der Enz to Bretten in the Baden-Württemberg state of Germany. The B10 is a well-known Bundesstraße that I featured on the channel many times which branches off from Vaihingen in the direction of Pforzheim.
In this video we continue the drive on the B35 in the direction of Bruchsal, which is on the A5 Autobahn North of Karlsruhe. One of the smaller cities on the way to Bruchsal is Bretten, the endpoint in this video. A part of this route is also part of the Bertha Benz Memorial Route which I can really recommend on a sunny spring day.
I hope you enjoy this shorter drive and Baden-Württemberg landscapes West of Stuttgart.
