Today we visited the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne Australia. I have been so many times in Melbourne and it happens that this was my first time there.

Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne Gardens has been a treasured part of Melbourne’s cultural life for more than 170 years – much loved by generations of Victorians, as well as by many visitors from interstate and overseas. It is a picturesque haven for recreation and an important resource for education, conservation, science and horticulture. Royal Botanic Melbourne Gardens extends over 38 hectares and houses a collection of more than 8,500 species of plants from around the world, including amazing and diverse plant collections such as camellias, rainforest flora, cacti and succulents, roses, Californian species, herbs, perennials, cycads, plants from Southern China and, in the Rare and Threatened Species Collection, plants from south-eastern Australia.
If you have never been to Melbourne I do advise for you to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne Australia and it if for me one of the top things to do in Melbourne. There are meny things to do and many places to visit in Melbourne but a walk in this Royal Botanic Garden should give you a great start.

I recently took a trip to one of my favourite places in the city, Adelaide's Botanic Gardens. It's easy to while away an hour or two wandering through the gardens which feature plants and trees from all around the world. My personal favourite location was the amazing Bicentennial Conservatory, which is the biggest one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, and is where you can see hundreds of rainforest trees and plants indoors.

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens are located 7 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD at the foot of Brisbane's tallest mountain, Mount Coot-tha in the suburb of Mount Coot-tha, Queensland, Australia.
For the adjective meaning of or relating to botany or the cultivation of plants, botanic and botanical are both acceptable, and there is no difference between them, but botanical is more common in 21st-century English. Botanic was more common up to the 20th century but has gradually faded out of use.

The Kamay Botany Bay National Park is a heritage-listed protected national park that is located in the Sydney metropolitan region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 456-hectare (1,130-acre) national park is situated approximately 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) south-east of the Sydney central business district, on the northern and southern headlands of Botany Bay. The northern headland is at La Perouse and the southern headland is at Kurnell.
The area is recognised for its outstanding cultural and historic heritage values to Australia. It is a place where botanist Sir Joseph Banks and naturalist Dr Daniel Solander collected plant specimens in 1770 as part of the first landing of the Endeavour in Australia. Banks and Solander collected many iconic Australian plant species, including some that later became type-specimens which have important scientific and research value.
The Cape Baily Track in Kamay Botany Bay National Park is a scenic coastal walk between Cape Solander and the Cape Baily Lighthouse.
The ocean and cliff views are absolutely stunning from start to finish. What’s great about this hike is that it doesn’t attract big crowds like other popular coastal walks in Sydney do, but the scenery is just as beautiful.
