Kö-Bogen II: Europe's largest Green Facade in #Düsseldorf, #Germany by Ingenhoven Architects

Read more:
The KII commercial and office building ensemble constitutes an outstanding redefinition of the heart of Düsseldorf and serves the function of a link between the exclusive Königs-Allee and the Schadow-Strasse shopping precinct. CENTRUM Group, B&L Group and ingenhoven architects have dissolved the uniformity of classical commercial buildings and here made the implementation of modern shopping and office concepts possible. Moreover they have been able to prove that highest architectonic demands and the application of first class materials can be harmonised with the benefits for climate and environment. This vision is already reality today and sets a new standard for the development of mixed-use buildings, combining ecology, economy, innovation and sustainability, beyond Düsseldorf and Germany. This excellently achieved urbane city repair includes the inseparable greening concept, as well as the location of the car parking underground, in order to recover attractive open space for people. KII is an aesthetic and functional lighthouse project for improvement of inner-city living, working, and recreational quality.

Best Shopping Street in Düsseldorf Germany! 4K Walk With Captions!

Walking around in Düsseldorf city in Western Germany, along the city‘s best shopping streets Schadowstraße and Königsallee on a warm day in September 2021. Starting at Schadowstraße then heading to the KÖ-Bogen II area, which features Europe's largest green facade, with a short visit to the famous Königsallee & KÖ-Graben before heading back. Schadowstraße is a shopping street in Düsseldorf, and one of the busiest in Germany. It was named in 1851 after the painter Wilhelm von Schadow, who founded the Düsseldorf School of Painting in 1826 through his teaching activities as director of the Düsseldorf Art Academy. The Königsallee is a grand boulevard in Düsseldorf, a flagship and a place of longing for international fashionistas, it is one of the greatest places to shop in Europe. Just like jewels in a crown, the elegant flagship stores all compete to see who glitters the most: Prada, Gucci, Hermès, Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton. Turn on the closed captions (CC) to see subtitles with background information about the city & the area.

This 4K walking tour was recorded with high definition binaural audio.

LAUTERBRUNNEN Valley Switzerland - Full Travel Guide

Welcome to the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the Valley of 72 WATERFALLS! This is one of the most exciting regions to visit in Switzerland, as it is full of natural wonders! Most people may be familiar with the village of Lauterbrunnen. It is in particular well-known for the Staubbachfall that seems to drop into the village. Lauterbrunnen is very nice to explore, especially during Summer when it is decorated with the many flags; very Swiss feeling! There are a couple of great Instagram spots in Lauterbrunnen, so make sure to roam a bit around the village to take good photos. You may also go almost behind the Staubbachfalls to get a better impression. There is a lot more to experience in the Lauterbrunnen valley! Consider taking the train up to Wengen, another really nice village to explore. Wengen is car-free and thus a perfect destination for families. You may go up to the Männlichen Mountain to enjoy a nice view over the Lauterbrunnen valley of hike down to Lauterbrunnen itself! The hike is going to be very scenic with the many green hills, typical for Switzerland. If you want to aim for higher altitudes, then go up to the Jungfraujoch, the highest train station in all of Europe. You are going to be at the top of the Swiss Alps and you may enjoy a fantastic view over the Aletsch Glacier. The Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier of the Alps. Inside the Aletsch Glacier is also the Ice Palace, another major attraction up on the Jungfraujoch. The best view however will be up on the platform sphinx. The Trümmelbachfalls are the most interesting waterfalls to visit in the Lauterbrunnen valley and probably even in all of Switzerland. They are hidden in between the rocks and have been fascinating many visitors. The water is very cold as it directly comes from the glaciers. The best panorama you may get on the Schilthorn, the location where James Bond in her Majesty’s secret service was filmed! You will get a brilliant 360° view over the Swiss Alps and the iconic mountains of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Enjoy your lunch at the revolving restaurant to have an unforgettable experience. Consider also a short visit to the village of Mürren, another car-free village in the Lauterbrunnen valley. So many great thing to experience in the Lauterbrunnen valley, the valley of 72 waterfalls! Make sure to not miss out this great place when coming to Switzerland!

[4K] Walk in Düsseldorf Germany - Along the KÖ Bogen 2 Area Summer 2020

This video tour in Düsseldorf Germany offers a great way to enjoy a walk and Düsseldorf city's beautiful ambience along the newly designed KÖ Bogen 2 shopping area on a cloudy summer day in July 2020 after the reopening of many businesses in the end of April.

In 2009, the ground-breaking ceremony for the large-scale urban planning project Kö-Bogen took place, in 2019 the last construction phase, the so-called Kö-Bogen 2, is about to be completed.
The square between the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus (theatre) and Schadowstrasse was redesigned by the renowned Düsseldorf architectural firm Ingenhoven, known for its sustainable and close to nature projects. A market hall with a transitable, green roof, modelled after the New York Lincoln Centre, faces a block of buildings with a stepped wall, planted with eight kilometres of beech hedges. The unobstructed view of the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus (theatre) should be largely preserved. Düsseldorf is the capital and second-largest city of the most populous German state of North Rhine-Westphalia(in Western Germany) after Cologne, and the seventh-largest city in Germany, with a population of 617,280.

I am starting this walk close to Heinrich-Heine Allee Station then taking a quick stroll to the Kö Bogen. Right afterwards I am walking along the Kö Bogen 2 and follow the shopping street until I reach the St. Mariä Empfängnis church. I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful walking tour in Düsseldorf (Western Germany) on a cloudy summer day.

My name is Gabe and on this channel i'm showing you where to travel 2021 and how

I'm not a travel guru, however i'm trying to find
the most underrated cities and destination and present them in my solo travel vlog.

Düsseldorf is the capital city of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and a city on the
Rhine River in western Germany.
With a population of 620,000 residents, it is one of the country's economic! centers and
a central city within the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan! region.
While Frankfurt is the German financial services centre, and several other German cities
excel in diverse sectors, Düsseldorf has the largest concentration of professional services,
creative industries, and media, and is known as the German fashion capital.
Düsseldorf also hosts a large number of German or European head
offices of Japanese companies, as well as a sizable Japanese community, making more than

Bavaria All Inclusive Rail Tour

Discover Bavaria on this all inclusive rail tour with excursions to beautiful Lindau, Lake Constance and fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle, with time to explore Bavaria's capital city, Munich.

Top Sightseeing Spots Duesseldorf: Koenigsallee (english)

Koenigsallee is Germany's most famous luxury mile. On the Boulevard, built in 1804, today almost all major designers have their shops, some are even flagship stores. There are jewelers and smaller boutiques as well. In the Kö-Galerie you will find shops, cafés and restaurants. You can taste caviar, champagne and oysters here as well as good sushi or pasta.

The other side of the wide alley with many financial institutions and only a few shops is considered the quieter side. In the middle of the street flows the Stadtgraben, which also feeds the popular Triton Fountain, which is often used as a photo location. Across the street is another landmark of the Koe, the Slim Else or Green Mathilde. So the last remaining cast-iron grandfather clock is called, of which there have been eight clocks in the city center.

More shops and a large luxury department stores are located further north, at the end of Koenigsallee in Kö-Bogen. The building is an architectural highlight, created by star architect Daniel Libeskind. It belongs to a large newly created complex at the Hofgarten.

There are also several 5-star superior hotels on Koenigsallee, like Steigenberger Parkhotel, Intercontinental and Breidenbacher Hof. In the latter, the famous german musician Udo Lindenberg worked as a bellhop at a young age.

The Königsallee is said to have got its name from a scandalous incident, the horse-apple attenat. In 1848, the Duesseldorfer locals here threw horse droppings on King Frederick William IV on his way to Jägerhof Castle. In 1851 the Kastanienallee was renamed Koenigsallee (Kings Alley). Supposedly to have mercy on the royal family.
