Der Bismarckturm von Bodenwerder, direkt an der Weser.
Wir haben den direkten Aufstieg genommen, der gar nicht so einfach war.
Den gleichen Weg zurück, war uns zu gefährlich. Wir haben dafür einen großen Umweg in kauf genommen. Der Bismarckturm ist das ganze Jahr über geöffnet. Man hat von dort oben eine schöne Aussicht und kann ein Teil der Weser sehen.
Es würde mich sehr freuen und es wäre eine große Wertschätzung, wenn ihr Euch das Video, von Anfang bis zum Ende anschauen würdet. Vielen Dank.

The Bismarck Tower of Bodenwerder, directly on the Weser.
We took the direct ascent, which was not so easy.
The same way back was too dangerous for us. We have taken a big detour for this.
The Bismarck Tower is open all year round. You have a beautiful view from up there and can see a part of the Weser.

We namen de directe beklimming, die niet zo gemakkelijk was.
Dezelfde weg terug was te gevaarlijk voor ons. We hebben hiervoor een grote omweg gemaakt.
De Bismarck Tower is het hele jaar door geopend. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht vanaf daar en een deel van de Weser zien. Als je je nog niet op mij hebt geabonneerd, zou ik heel blij zijn om een abonnement van jou te hebben.

Bodenwerder war, bis 1948, eine Insel im Fluss (Das nannte man Werder).
Von der früheren Festung ist auch noch etwas übrig geblieben, zum Beispiel die Bastion, ein Festungsturm und ein Tor Turm. Zeitzeugen sind einige alte Fachwerkhäuser aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.
Heute ist Bodenwerder bekannt, durch den Lügenbaron Münchhausen. Sein Name Hieronimus Carl Friedrich von Münchhausen. Oder auch Freiherr von Münchhausen.
Immer wieder finden hier große Feierlichkeiten statt.
Ein Ort zum Genießen, Flanieren und entdecken.

Until 1948, Bodenwerder was an island in the river (it was called Werder).
There is also something left of the former fortress, for example the bastion, a fortress tower and a gate tower. Some old half-timbered houses from the 16th century are contemporary witnesses.
Today Bodenwerder is known through the lying baron Münchhausen. His name Hieronimus Carl Friedrich von Münchhausen. Or also Baron von Münchhausen.

Bodenwerder an der Weser ist in erster Linie als Geburts- und Wohnort des Lügenbarons Münchhausen bekannt, dem die Stadt unter anderen mit einigen Skulpturen zu den besten Lügengeschichten in der Innenstadt ein Denkmal gesetzt hat. Bodenwerder mit seinem Nachbarort Polle nennt sich auch das Münchhausenland. Beide Orte liegen auch an der Deutschen Märchenstraße.

The municipality lies only a few kilometers east of Bodenwerder. Through Kirchbrak flows a small river called Lenne, a tributary of the Weser.

Bike Touring Germany: Hameln & Bodenwerder, the story of the pied piper and baron von Münchhausen
Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking. In this episode we do a little city tour of Hameln ( Hamelin ), known for the Grimm brothers 'stories of the Pied Piper. In fact you can see statues and other artifacts rememebering this, al over the beautifil inner city. Then I set out for Bodemwerder where a rather illustrious German lived: The baron von Münchhausen. Following the Weser river I head back via the Hämelschenburg to Hameln. A delightful day on the bike for me, so I hope you enjoy the video as well !
