Общая информация
1946 год - год образования Нижней Саксонии. Площадь её территории составляет около 47 612,88 км² (после Баварии — это второй по величине регион), а население - более 8 миллионов человек.
Ведущей отраслью экономики в Нижней Саксонии является сельское хозяйство. Оно представлено здесь земледелием, плодоводством и скотоводством. Выращиванию сельхозкультур (сахарная свёкла, морковь, капуста, рапс, спаржа, зелёная капуста, зерновые) благоприятствует состав местной почвы: песок и глина.
Большая часть нефти и газа также добывается в этом регионе. Развито в Нижней Саксонии машиностроение, кораблестроение, рыболовство, приборостроение. Процветает здесь и туризм, который пополняет казну федеральной земли. На Фризских островах эта отрасль процветает особенно быстро.
Столица
На протяжении многих веков административным центром Нижней Саксонии является город Ганновер. Он расположен между двумя реками, Везер и Ляйне, вблизи гор Гарц. Знаменитым Ганновер сделали красивейшие зелёные зоны, а также промышленные выставки. Выставочный комплекс является крупнейшим в мире. Город является транспортным центром, так как здесь пересекаются важные железнодорожные ветки.
Развито в столице региона и искусство. Внимание туристов привлекают уличные экспонаты, Государственный театр, Ганноверский зоопарк, озеро Маш и другие достопримечательности.
Природа
Горы и море окружают Нижнюю Саксонию, расположенную на северо-востоке Германии, на Северо-Германской низменности и Люнебургской пустоши. Северное море омывает северные берега региона, а горы Гарц являются границами земли на юго-востоке. Восточно-Фризские острова в Северном море входят в состав Нижней Саксонии. Отмели-ватты на Североморском побережье внесены в список Всемирного природного наследия ЮНЕСКО.
Красивыми местами можно полюбоваться в Дремлинге - местном заповеднике. Особенно привлекательны пейзажи гор Гарц. По территории региона протекают судоходные реки: Везер, Аллер, Эльба.
Основные города
В Нижней Саксонии много замечательных городов. Среди них университетский город Геттинген. Здесь проживает много русских. В городе есть русскоязычные районы: Гайсмар, Гроне, Хольтензен Берг. Через Геттинген проложен знаменитый маршрут для туристов немецкая дорога сказок.
Оснабрюк - город в Нижней Саксонии, третий по площади в федеральной земле. Здесь очень красивый исторический центр: рыночная площадь, ратуша с Залом мира, уютные улицы со средневековыми постройками.
Одним из крупных городов региона является Брауншвейг. Город имеет статус образовательного и научного центра. В 2007 году ему присвоено звание «Город науки», так как именно здесь проводятся масштабные научно-технические исследования и открытия.
Что посмотреть
В мир первобытных джунглей можно окунуться в Ганноверском зоопарке. Он был основан в 1865 году. Здесь проживают около 3 тысяч животных. Стоит посмотреть не только на питомцев, но и на необычное оформление зоопарка.
За счастьем можно поехать в Геттинген. Изюминкой этого города является памятник Лиза с гусями. Ему уже более ста лет. Туристы целуют скульптуру на счастье, а студенты просят у неё удачи на экзаменах.
Посмотреть в Нижней Саксонии есть на что: парк птиц Люнебург Хайде, еловые и буковые леса, гранитные скалы, морские отмели и многое другое.
Достопримечательности
Прообразом Версаля стали прекрасные сады Херренхаузен, которые находятся в Ганновере. В этом парке есть оранжерея, галерея и четыре живописных сада. Посажены они были по желанию принцессы Софии в конце 11 века.
В Нижней Саксонии много ратушей, дворцов и замков. Примечателен дворец Бюкебург в одноимённом городе. Построен он в 14 веке, ранее он являлся княжеской резиденцией. Дворец окружает прекрасный парк.
Вилгельмсхафен – знаменитый во всем мире морской порт. Это самый глубоководный порт в Германии. Эта гавань может встречать океанские танкеры. Одновременно Вилгельмсхафен является научным центром.
