Bohol is a province of the Philippines, in the country’s Central Visayas region. It comprises Bohol Island and numerous smaller surrounding islands. Bohol is known for coral reefs and unusual geological formations, notably the Chocolate Hills. Whale Sharks encounter takes place just offshore Oslob, Cebu. We have been fortunate enough to swim with the biggest fish in the sea. PS: We were 3 meters away from shark’s head and 4 meters from its tail.

BOHOLS CHOCOLATE HILLS And TARSIERS ???????? The BEST Of BOHOL THE PHILIPPINES
Today we explored the highest rated things to do and see on Bohol Island. We first rented a bike which our hotel kindly arranged before heading out for the long ride to our first stop! The Chocolate hills did not disappoint. We can see why they're so highly rated in The Philippines. It's like a fairy tale!
The next stop of the day was the bamboo bridges which were unfortunately destroyed by the typhoon, however, the detour to this spot wasn't all bad as we stopped at a waterfall along the river and were joined by some local filipino kids that came to say hello!
The last stop was Kelseys favourite, the endangered Tarsiers. Not to be confused with a monkey, the Tarsier is the worlds smallest primate. They eat insects, lizards and birds, they rest all day and come alive at night and at full size they're the same size as an adult fist!

We are really excited to check out our next stop in the Philippines and share our FIRST IMPRESSIONS of BOHOL PHILIPPINES | ALONA Beach & PANGLAO Island while TRYING Filipino SEAFOOD! Bohol, Philippines is known for some incredible scenery like chocolate hills, tarsiers, and stunning beaches and we were really excited to check them all out.
We leave our friends Greg and Jumi @FoodandFootprints in Cebu as we take off to Panglao Island in Bohol, Philippines to our ultimate destination at Alona Beach where we got to spend a little bit over 24 hours enjoying a long holiday weekend with locals!
We even got to try out some new Filipino food, including seafood, and drink some delicious Calamansi Juice while escaping the hot sun on Panglao Island.
