Al Hinn Sulfur Spring in #Bidbid is a spring made beautiful by its azure waters and a collection of sulphur sediments that were deposited at the bottom. To reach it take the road to the town of Lizeg, then to Jardamanah and Gharabah, until you reach the village of Hinn.

Bidbid To Fanja Road Tour|Oman Road Trip|
While technically not Muscat, both places are in Ad Dakhiliyah, Fanja and Bidbid are only 30 minutes away from Muscat Intentional Airport. The area is very close to Sa’al steps which I’ve already covered here. On this early morning trip, I have combined hiking, driving and visiting some historical sights. I started with the walk to the top of the mountain around 6 am and finished the whole trip around 11 am. You will need a 4×4 car to get to the start of the trail as well to the Bidbid viewpoint. Here are the FIVE highlights of the area including: 1) Table Top Mountain, 2) Fanja old town and fort, 3) Wadi Fanja, 4) Bidbid fort, 5) Bidbid Nafaa View Point. 1. Table Top Mountain
The hike to the top of Table Top Mountain near Fanja, Oman is an easy. You may need a 4×4 car to get to the start of the trail. It takes about 1 hour to reach the summit. It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy the nearby mountains. The place is perfect for sunset or sunrise. I ventured few minutes before the sunrise in October 2019 and you can some of the photos here.
Fanja old town and fort
Fanja old town is a quaint 400-year old or so village where you can enjoy nice views and go back in time. The abandoned mud houses and ancient towers that still miraculously stand offer perfect spots for panoramic views of the Wadi Fanja and the surrounding Al-Hajar Mountains

Al Hinn Sulphur Spring is located in the village of Hinn, Bid Bid, Oman.
Location to reach from Muscat:
We started from Muscat through Nizwa Express way and Bid Bid to reach Al Hinn Village. We could see few Date farms, small water canals and have beautiful landscape with colorful plants and mountains on the way to this Sulphur spring. Its amazing view from the vehicle on both side of the road.
Al Hinn village got glorious sunshine and pleasant look with cold breeze in this winter season.
Al Hinn Sulphur Spring - A spring made beautiful by its right blue waters and a collection of Sulphur sediments at the bottom of the water. Our kids jumped into the water and started playing in their own way.
Sulfurous SPA baths have been used successfully for contact dermatitis, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. It has been recently suggested that the active principles of sulfurous mineral waters could play a role in immune regulation in the skin.

Its a great place to visit with your family for a picnic and a great spot to enjoy paddle boarding, hiking and a quick dip in the emerlad green waters.

Nakhal Fort (Arabic: قَلْعَة نَخَل) is a large fortification in Al Batinah Region of Oman. It is named after the Wilayah of Nakhal. The fort houses a museum, operated by the Ministry of Tourism, which has exhibits of historic guns. Close to the fort you can enjoy hot springs. Amazing place to spend the day.

The sand takes on an orange hue and the water changes to a deeper blue as the sun sets and the light changes. Lay on the rocks overlooking the beach at twilight or find an area along the strip of soft sand.
It is well-known as a camping site outside the city of Muscat with small cliffs, coves, rocky edges, and a fairly isolated environment that’s ideal for parties or couples who’d enjoy their privacy. The beach has gorgeous soft sand and clear waters with fishing, swimming, camping, and simple day-trip picnic opportunities available.

Wadi Al Aqq tunnels Oman - Oman’s first tunnel road
Al Sharqiyah Expressway features two tunnels crossing the mountain range between Samail industrial area and Al Jardaa intersection.
The 246-km long Al Sharqiyah expressway consists of two three-lane roads on each side of the tunnel, at a designed speed limit of 120 Km/h, in addition to modern bridges with structural height of to 90 meters that cross the valley corridors.
The first 650m long tunnel is located in Nidab, Samail, and the other one was constructed at a distance away from the current route at Wadi Al Aqq with a 1450m length, with 90 Km/h speed limit allowed within the tunnels, in line with global safety and security standards and those tunnels are inclusive of relevant safety and security tools.
Wadi Al Aqq tunnels Oman - Oman’s first tunnel road - In the event of any emergency, temperature detectors will activate automatically, sound and light alarm will go off to prevent entry to the tunnels.
