Granville, Ohio
Granville, Ohio is located in Licking County along the western edge of the Appalachian plateau. The village is charming and has a New England style. With many big beautiful homes and a rich historical history, like the historical Buxton Inn built in 1812 is the oldest continually operating Inn and tavern in the state of Ohio. Want to watch a game of polo? You can at the Bryn Du Mansion on most Sunday afternoons during the summer months. The estate is owned by the Village, and is on the National Register of Historic places. Built Circa 1905. Private events are also host here. Granville Ohio has so much history it was fun to explore. I tried the The Pub On Broadway for lunch and the food was excellent.

Explorers Are Us - Today, the historic building offers city recreation, sports, swimming pool, tennis courts, cultural and arts education programs, and provides special event facilities for the community. Built as a single-family residence in 1905 by industrialist Robert H. Jeffrey and his wife Mary, Jeffrey Mansion and its surrounding 32 acres were donated to the city of Bexley in 1941. Inside the first floor was the living area, the second was the bedrooms, third was the servant quarters, and the basement was a shooting range.

Newark is a city in the county seat of Licking County, Ohio. Thirty three miles east of Columbus. Newark is probably best known for the Newark Earthworks, a series of mounds built by the Hopewell Indians. Newark was founded in 1802, and has a rich history. The court house was built in 1876. The architect Louis Sullivan designed The Home Association Bank. Newark was such a joy to visit with so many interesting buildings, that you don't find everyday. And the city was just beautiful.

Capital University - A Visitors Guide - Bexley Ohio
Main campus is in Bexley, Ohio, on 53 acres and is the oldest university in Central Ohio, founded in 1830. It is one of the oldest and largest Lutheran-affiliated universities in North America. Capital is currently home to 3,628 undergraduate and graduate students, and 691 are Freshman.
They employ nearly 200 full-time and more than 200 part-time faculty which helps keep class sizes small and give students the individual attention that they need.
There is a 12:1 student to faculty ratio for undergraduate students, and in Fall 2013, 59% of classes had 19 or fewer students in them. Capital University has more than 60 majors and 51 minors to choose from. Some majors include education, nursing, economics, criminology, athletic training, business, accounting, chemistry and many others.

Forgotten Landmarks of Columbus
Join authors Doreen Uhas Sauer and Tom Betti as they uncover many interesting, lost, and forgotten landmarks of Columbus like the Walk of Wonders and the Chittenden Hotel.
As the crossroads city of the Midwest, Columbus has always thrived. Over the years, many of the city’s most important and most beautiful buildings—packed with marble, ornate metalwork, painted ceilings and glitz and glamour—have been reduced to dust or left in disrepair. Union Station and stately mansions of well-to-do industrialists are no longer there to tell the story of the city. The Alfred Kelley Mansion, the Chittenden Hotel, the Franklin County Courthouse and the Walk of Wonders in the Great Western Shopping Center were lost, but the palatial Ohio Theatre and the modest Captain Eddie Rickenbacker Home, both designated National Historic Landmarks, were saved.
Tom Betti and Doreen Uhas Sauer, authors of Historic Hotels of Columbus and Historic Taverns of Columbus, recapture stories and memories of a forgotten Columbus.
Doreen Uhas Sauer is a longtime educator associated with Columbus City Schools and a past Ohio Teacher of the Year. She has served as board president for the Columbus Landmarks Foundation and has received statewide recognition for her work in preservation education.
Tom Betti is dedicated to bringing history to life through entertaining storytelling. He served on the board of Columbus Landmarks Foundation for two full terms and chaired the Education Committee. Tom was lead researcher on the National Register of Historic Places nominations for both the Hartman Hotel Building and the Athletic Club of Columbus.
