If you want to step into the racing shoes yourself, you can give the racing simulator a go and get behind the wheel. Or, take a visit around Old Town. Old Town's narrow streets is a hub of New Mexican eateries that serve enchiladas and sopaipilla pastries. And if you're looking for some unique things to take home after your visit, the tiny artisan shops sell jewelry, rugs, and pottery.

Visiting Albuquerque, New Mexico: My Top Things To Do (flamenco, Route 66 & more)

Join me in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a city that sits on Route 66. This area is known for the Sandia Mountains, Native American culture, and a thriving art scene. On this visit, I was also introduced to Flamenco, and as it turns out, Albuquerque is the epicenter for this style of dance. The spirit of Albuquerque can also be found at places like Hotel Chaco, a luxury property inspired by the state's Chaco Canyon. You will feel the inspiration of Chaco Canyon as soon as you walk through the hotel’s front doors.

A short walk from the hotel will take you into Old Town Albuquerque, where it’s impossible to walk ten steps without seeing something crafted by a local artist or inspired by area tribes.

Nexus Brewery & Restaurant is widely considered to be the best place to go in Albuquerque if you’re looking for craft beer and soul food. The eatery offers are laidback experience to its guests, which falls completely on the opposite end of the spectrum from the fine-dining experience that’s offered up by Antiquity Restaurant. Antiquity Restaurant offers up Southwestern cuisine. Le Troquet is another fancy restaurant, this time offering French cuisine.

Seared Bistro is a meat lover’s paradise, though those averse to partaking in flesh can find solace in the eatery’s non-GMO veggie burger. Sawmill Market is more similar to a farmers’ market than a restaurant, though there are many places within it to get great fresh food. Farm & Table is one of many Albuquerque eateries that focus on offering up a seasonal menu that utilizes fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Meanwhile, Frenchish offers up a more family-friendly alternative to dining at the French Le Troquet.

Finally, Seasons 52 is a vegetable-centric eatery with a name that pays reverence to the number of weeks in the average year. Other restaurants that we’ll examine in this video include High Noon Restaurant & Saloon, Campo at Los Poblanos, Cocina Azul, Mary & Tito’s Café, Duran Central Pharmacy, Debajo Tapas y Vino, Padilla’s Mexican Kitchen, the Artichoke Café. Travel Guide New Mexico tm, Bernalillo New Mexico

The Town of Bernalillo is set at the northwest slope of the Sandia Mountains and hugs the banks of the state's major river, the Rio Grande. This community boasts being the historical center of the State of New Mexico with occupation reaching back almost a thousand years. Bernalillo progressed from a string of haciendas along the river in the 1600's to a commercial center of trade among the pueblos and the Mexican settlers in the 1800's. Founded by Don Diego de Vargas in 1695, the Town of Bernalillo remains a retail trade and service center for this part of the Rio Grande basin

A Campground In Bernalillo, NM. A guide to lesser known sites in the American West. S06E96

I hope to illustrate some of the lesser known places that one can camp in the Central Western states. There are many campgrounds and other places which relatively unknown or overlooked which I feel would be of interest to tourists / vacationers and both tent campers and RV'ers.
I found many of these places to camp with Google's camping near _______ search terms. I was amazed how many small towns and state/federal lands allow camping. In addition, Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho publish very complete guides to lesser known campsites. New Mexico is not one of them. There are not as many in this state. As we traveled, we found a few and I made sure to record them on video to share with all of you.
However, one must take care in selecting these sites. Sometimes, it is only a dirt lot with no services and no bathrooms suitable only for self-contained RV units. Others, are down narrow rough roads suitable only for SUV's and trucks. Finally, and most importantly I review and rate how good I thought these campsites are and how suitable it is to tent camping. Sometimes they are true undiscovered gems which are little used or unknown outside the local community.

I rate this campground a 9 out of 10. The only detraction at this campground is the noise from the nearby highways. It is not bad but it is not like a quiet rural site. This one is really nice and your best and maybe ONLY option if you are tenting in the Albuquerque area.

Take a ride with us on the Sandia Peak Tramway in Albuquerque to the Ten 3 restaurant on top! ⛰️????????️
