The 6 Countries of North Africa

North Africa is a region of great diversity, with a rich history and culture. The region includes the 6 countries of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, and Tunisia. Each country in North Africa has its own unique customs and traditions.
For example, in Algeria the traditional music is called chaabi; while in Egypt there is both Arabic pop music as well as classical Arab music. Libyan cuisine features dishes such as couscous and tagine (a type of stew), while Tunisian food often includes harissa (a chili pepper paste) and merguez (spicy sausage).
The people of North Africa are just as diverse as the cultures and traditions. There are Arabs, Berbers, Copts (Egyptians who follow the Coptic Orthodox Church), Tuaregs (an ethnic group from Saharan regions), and many others. This diversity makes for a fascinating melting pot of cultures!
In today’s video, we’ll learn more about these 6 North African countries and know more about their geographical status, their culture, language as well as economy. So, let’s get started, shall we?

1. Algeria
Algeria is a country located in the Maghreb region of North Africa. With an area of 2.3 million km2, it is the largest country in Africa and tenth-largest in the world. Algeria has a population of over 43 million people, making it the most populous Arab state and 33rd populous country in the world. The capital city Algiers is located on the Mediterranean Sea coast with 3.7 million inhabitants as of 2021!
The Algerian economy remains dominated by its hydrocarbon sector; oil and natural gas production make up more than 95% of exports while accounting for 60% of government revenues, 35% of GDP (2018 est.). Hydrocarbons have given Algeria considerable political leverage internationally as well as enabling it to amass large foreign exchange reserves estimated at US$43 billion (as of 2022).
However, declining global energy prices led to lower export earnings and slower growth rates from 2014 onwards resulting in increased economic difficulties including high unemployment which stood at 12% according to official figures! As far as tourist attractions go, there are quite a few beautiful cities to visit, but some of the most popular tourist destinations include Algiers, Oran, and Constantine. These cities offer a variety of historical and cultural attractions for visitors to enjoy!

2. Egypt
Egypt is a country located in the northeast corner of Africa. With a population of over 103 million people, it is the most populous nation on the North African continent. Egypt covers an area of approximately 1 million km2, making it one of the largest countries in both Africa and the Middle East. The capital city of Cairo is home to more than 10 million people, making it one of the world's largest metropolitan areas.
Egyptians are known for their rich history and culture which dates back thousands of years.

Morocco Travel Guide: Marrakech, Atlas Mountains and Essaouira

On this trip you’ll be heading to Marrakech, the heart of Morocco, where spices linger in the market air, the sun sets on street performers, and the senses are treated to a whirlwind of sights and sounds. Discover life in the sprawling medina or get lost in the alleyways towards the souqs. Marvel at the tilework found in the royal Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said or learn how ancient traditions are woven into the fabric of Marrakech; there’s more than one way to fall in love with this cosmopolitan city.

Morocco is a North African country renowned for diversity, and this is one of the things that make it such a fascinating destination to visit. It’s a place where one will find many cultural influences, and the landscape offers visitors a chance to experience the ocean, Atlas Mountain peaks and the Sahara Desert all in one go. You might be travelling to one country, but in Morocco, there is a whole world to explore.

In Essaouira discover how coastal winds and different tribes can shape a port city. It’s a melting pot with Arab, Berber and European influences. While the sea attracts windsurfers, culture vultures flock to the medina’s alleyways for galleries and a spot of people watching. The vibrancy found in the country’s cities is matched by life in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where visitors can swap people watching and fortified walls for hiking, folk music and stargazing.

Observe nomadic shepherds, hike through limestone river canyons, enjoy impressive views and Berber hospitality and warmth as you make Midelt your basecamp for the Middle Atlas Mountains. As the sun goes down on the soaring peaks, the stars will light up the skies.

If we’ve inspired you to explore this north African country further, head over to TourRadar for all the different ways you can discover a world of flavour, culture and history in Morocco.

TOP 10 Hottest Places in the WORLD 2022 ||10 Hottest Places in the WORLD | Top 10 hottest places

Hello guys! Hope you are doing great! Global warming is constantly rewriting records; places that have never seen rain are now being flooded; on the other hand, in other areas, sky-high temperatures are being recorded, and now the 50°C is no longer a rarity.
There are places on the earth that are unbearably hot, and it's better not to visit them in summer, or if you have to, keep yourself well hydrated and layer up against the sun to combat the sobering heat. This video will be about the Top 10 hottest places in the world. So, let's get started!

10: Ghadames, Libya
The first on the list is Ghadames, an oasis Berber town in northwestern Libya, also known as the “Pearl of the Desert”. Some archaeologists claim it is one of the oldest pre-Saharan towns, settled in the 4th millennium B.C.
Usually, the average temperature of the town in July is 41°C; however, the highest temperature ever recorded in the region is 55°, making it one of the literal hot spots in the world. The town has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site as it portrays the traditional human settlements; there are approximately 1,300 houses in the city with connected rooftops.

9: Flaming Mountains, China.
The next on today’s list is the Flaming Mountains of China; they are also known as the Huoyan Mountains in the east of Turpan City and the northern rim of the Taklamakan Desert, known as the world’s, most dangerous desert.

8: Dallol, Ethiopia.
Dallol is a tiny remote village in the extreme north of Ethiopia; the town is a volcanic crater located 130 meters below sea level; it is famous for its earthy colors, salt lakes and hot springs, which discharge hyper-acidic brine and hyper-saline. A cinder cone volcano surrounds Dallol, which makes it one of the hottest areas in the world; the highest temperature it has ever reached is 49°C. The annual average high temperature of the village is 41.2°C; however, in the hottest months, it can reach up to 46.7°C.

7: Wadi Halfa, Sudan.
Wadi Halfa is a town located in extreme northern Sudan on Lake Nubia shores, near the Egypt border. In 1964 the historical village was destroyed because of flooding, due to which most of its inhabitants had to relocate; by 1965, only 3,200 residents were living in the city.

6: Turbat, Pakistan.
Turbat is in the southern Balochistan province of Pakistan and is one of the hottest cities in South Asia. In 2017 the city reported the highest temperature of 53.5°C. The summer lasts approximately 4.4 months and is muggy, sweltering, and arid, although the winters are much shorter, comfortably dry, and windy.

Number 5: Mitribah, Kuwait.
Mitribah is the weather station in northwest Kuwait. In July 2016, the location recorded the highest temperature of 54°C, the 3rd highest verified temperature ever recorded on earth. Since then, each year, the highs keep coming.

4: Dasht-e Lut, Iran.
The Lut desert, also known as the Dasht-E-Lut, is the 33rd largest desert in the world with an area of 51,800 Km². This salt desert is in eastern Iran; its name was derived from the Persian language, where “Dasht” means plain and “lut” means empty and bare, and it stands to its name as presently no one lives in this desert due to its climate condition and extreme weather.

3: Sahara Desert, Africa.
With an area of 9,200,000 Km², the Sahara Desert is the biggest hot desert on the planet; the desert is in the north of the Mediterranean Sea and is spread over 10 countries. The desert offers various land features to its visitors, but the most famous of them is the sand dune fields which can reach up to 183 meters high and cover 25% of the desert region.

2: Aziziyah, Libya.
The second of today’s list is Aziziyah, also spelt as El Azizia, a small town in northwestern Libya with an area of 1,940 Km² and is known as the first formal republic in Arab. In September 1922, the city came into the limelight when a local weather station reported a blazing temperature of 58°C as, at that time, a summer peak of 50°C was not that common; however, the claim was invalidated by the World Meteorological Organization in 2012.

1: Death Valley, California.
On top of our list is the Death Valley, a desert valley in eastern California north of the Mojave Desert. The valley lives up to its name and is the driest place in northern America and had reported a temperature of 54.4°C in the summer of 2020. The steep valley walls trap hot air and make the valley's temperature significantly high as the sun reheats air masses.
