Salerno is a city and comune in Campania and is the capital of the province of the same name. Salerno is located on the Gulf of Salerno on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Salerno was an independent Lombard principality in the early Middle Ages. Today Salerno is an important cultural centre in Campania and Italy and has had a long and eventful history. The city has a rich and varied culture, and the city is divided into three distinct zones: the medieval sector, the 19th century sector and the more densely populated post-war area, with its several apartment blocks. A patron saint of Salerno is Saint Matthew, the Apostle, whose relics are kept here at the crypt of Salerno Cathedral.
The city of Salerno is situated at the north-western end of the plain of the Sele river, at the exact beginning of the Amalfi coast. The small river Irno crosses through the central section of Salerno. The highest point is Monte Stella with its 953 metres (3,127 ft). The economy of Salerno is mainly based on services and tourism, as most of the city's manufacturing base did not survive the economic crisis of the 1970s. The remaining ones are connected to pottery and food production and treatment. The Port of Salerno is one of the most active of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It handles about 10 million tons of cargo per year, 60% of which is made up by containers.
Salerno is connected to the Autostrada A3, Autostrada A30 end RA2 motorways. Salerno station is the main railway station of the city. It is connected to the high-speed railway network via the Milan-Salerno corridor. The main bus stop of Salerno is also at the train station, with both CSTP buses and SITA buses. A metro light rail line connects the train station with Stadio Arechi with seven intermediate stops. A new Maritime Terminal Station was completed in 2016 and will be opened for the 2017 cruise season. Salerno features three marinas: Manfredi Pier, Masuccio Salernitano, and Marina di Arechi (newly opened in 2015). Salerno airport is located in the neighboring towns of Pontecagnano Faiano and Bellizzi.

Avec ses 1400 habitants, San Lorenzo al Mare a été fondée au XIIe siècle, lorsqu'elle s'appelait Aqua Sancti Laurenti. The town of San Lorenzo al Mare is the smallest town in the province of Imperia. The whole village, which looks almost like a postcard, is a real and small work of art, with winding streets and numerous gardens that boast, within them, several sculptures by artists Taore and Grudda. If you are in San Lorenzo al Mare in summer, do not miss the festival of Santa Maria Maddalena, which takes place every July 22, and that of the patron saint San Lorenzo, known as the night of shooting stars, August 10.

Monteleone di Spoleto (Umbria) - I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Monteleone di Spoleto è un comune italiano di 585 abitanti della provincia di Perugia in Umbria. È il comune più alto della regione.
Abitata fin dall'età del Bronzo, dopo la distruzione della città nel XII secolo, le sue sorti seguirono quasi costantemente quelle del Ducato di Spoleto, che ne mantenne sempre il dominio e ne fortificò il borgo dandogli il nome attuale. Gli scavi archeologici realizzati agli inizi del Novecento in località Colle del Capitano, hanno portato alla luce una vasta necropoli utilizzata dall'età del Bronzo al VI secolo a.C. Il rinvenimento più importante è rappresentato dalla tomba principesca a tumulo con un ricchissimo corredo di cui faceva parte una biga con decorazioni in bronzo lavorato a sbalzo.
Il centro storico ha conservato l'assetto urbano tipico del castello di poggio, circondato da mura, con elementi fortificati e porte, mentre le vie interne mantengono le caratteristiche dei borghi medievali.
Da vedere anche il complesso di Santa Caterina, la chiesa di San Nicola, con le pale dell'altare attribuite al Ghezzi e al Masucci, la torre dell'Orologio, porta dell'antico castello medioevale che domina il borgo e il bel palazzo quattrocentesco Bernabò, a due piani con altana centrale.
Monteleone di Spoleto ha un notevole patrimonio naturalistico: il suo territorio è situato all'interno del Parco Naturale Coscerno-Aspra, tra i più gradevoli e interessanti dal punto di vista ambientale e paesaggistico dell'intero Appennino centrale, costituito da una serie di imponenti rilievi montuosi separati da strette e profonde valli. La superficie di territorio è prevalentemente ricoperta da boschi intervallati da ampi pascoli e piccoli campi, frutto del rapporto che da millenni intercorre tra l'ambiente naturale e l'uomo.
