The Gambia in West Africa is a fascinating place, and with no rain between November to the middle of June virtually guaranteed, and temperatures in the 30s, it is a fantastic winter sun destination. The coast has many lovely, long sandy beaches which are never over-crowded, even in the height of the season. And you’ll find it much cheaper than many other popular winter sun locations such as the Caribbean.

Kunta Kinteh Island, formerly called James Island and St Andrew's Island, is an island in the Gambia River, 30 km from the Gambia River Barra. Fort James is located on the island. It is less than 3.2 km (2 miles) from Albreda on the river's northern bank.

Gambia, Africa - crossing Gambia River by ferry, scenic views of ferry crossing of Gambia River. Let's travel to Africa and let's visit the capital of The Gambia, the city of Banjul. We are going to cross the Gambia River, we are going to take the ferry from Banjul (the Barra Ferry Service) which is one of the Gambia capital's vital economic lifelines and an essential river crossing to Dakar (Senegal). The Barra Ferry Service journey time from the terminal and across the mouth of the Gambia River estuary is about 35 minutes and services start from Banjul at 7am and operate until 9 in the evening.
The Gambia is a small West African country, bounded by Senegal, with a narrow Atlantic coastline. It's known for its diverse ecosystems around the central Gambia River. Abundant wildlife in its Kiang West National Park and Bao Bolong Wetland Reserve includes monkeys, leopards, hippos, hyenas and rare birds. The capital, Banjul, and nearby Serrekunda offer access to beaches.

Większość odcinka poświęcona jest najbliższemu wiosce, a jak na razie pominiętemu na vlogu mieście - Janjanbureh lub Georgetown. Wybieramy się tam dwukrotnie, w różnych celach. Całość przeplatana jest scenkami z życia wsi i jej okolicy. Po raz pierwszy też na moim vlogu goszczą małpy - pawiany. Kura z filmu została nam podarowana podczas odwiedzin w Janjanbureh. Niestety pozostało po niej już tylko wspomnienie pysznego smaku…
