Overland Park is the second-most populous city in the state of Kansas. Located in Johnson County, it is also a principal city of the Kansas City metropolitan area. In 1905, Overland Park's founder, William B. Strang Jr. arrived and began to plot subdivisions along an old military roadway, which later became the city's principal thoroughfare. He developed large portions of what would later become downtown Overland Park. On May 20, 1960, Overland Park was officially incorporated as a city.

Sar-Ko Aglow Christmas Lights Display in Lenexa, Kansas
Sar-Ko Aglow is a walk-through Christmas light display at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park in Lenexa, Kansas, (a suburb of the Kansas City Area). The display runs from early December through the beginning of January. We visited the park after a winter snow and it was gorgeous! Enjoy watching our video and experience the beautiful lights at Sar-Ko Aglow.
Want to experience the display in person? Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park is located on 87th. & Lackman, which is just east of the I-435 N & 87th. Street Parkway exit. During the 2020- 2021 season, the lights will be on each evening through January 10, 2021. More information can be found here:

For years I have been curious about the former West Haven Motel and Restaurant in my hometown of Kansas City, Kansas. For as long as I can remember this place has sat empty with a For Sale sign sitting in the window. Now grant you I spent 10 years of my young adult life in Topeka, Kansas and didn't pay much attention to things like this in my younger days. I wasn't able to find much on this place but I did find something. I hope you enjoy.
